Thank you for making this video , I rode simi pro from 1986 to 1992 & I had to quit riding because I had to have a operation on my feet do to a birth defect . I had my left foot fused together & could no longer do some of my old tricks . It’s great to see you guys passing this sport on to the younger generation so this sport can live on in the heart of the older generation .

Great vid. That is so cool those kids have flatland coaches! Back when I first got interested in flatland my only coach was a clapped out VCR and some ultra lo-fi BMX tapes that happened to have a few flatland clips(BACO!) and a worn out rewind button. That link at 7:05 was just plain beautiful. One of, if not the, sickest exits I've ever seen.

So great seeing the future of flatland develop in real time. It's nice to know the sport/artform I love will be around for a long time to come.

Everyone is so good at body- pumping through a one-wheeled move. In the 90s riders just relied on initial speed, now they can create momentum out of nowhere

Seriously, and scuffing is a thing of the past lol. I remember seeing a clip of, I think it was Terry adams, about 10-15 years ago, he was some variation of a steamroller in a tight circle, rolls to a dead stop, them pumps a few times and goes right into another link of tricks, without scuffing once. I was like WTF did I just see lol.

I've just got into flatland and I am excited for the new adventure. Park and street now days have gotten so boring. All riders doing the same 4 trick combo's. Spins flips bars and whips that's all you really see. Nobody's original anymore. That's what is so beautiful about flatland. Every Rider has different style and technique and the possibilities are endless for what you can create. I'm glade to be another rider apart of something that deserves so much more credit.

Awesome to see kids keeping this going, interesting to see the mixing of ballerina and bikes beginning. Miss the old days of bar hopping, sliding, stoppies bikes with brakes on both wheels for pogoing, such a big difference from the innovators to these spinners.

I practice this as a martial art, a focus of chi, these guys are liquid, like a JEDI with a lightsaber, creating the perfect balance between gravity and centrifugal force, I am beside my self, very inspiring

I can't wait for Flatland to evolve beyond variations of spinning on one wheel. I think it'll happen when someone revolutionizes Flatland by taking new school momentum and speed and unlocking a ton of possibilities by combining new school with front and rear brakes. Think outside the box. That's what the guy that will take this to the next level will do.

Yo, I agree, I have a feeling and hope that flatland and street begin to fuse more and more where you see some of this one wheel spin stuff but like off a crazy drop or into some kind of rail, I know this sounds nuts but you know did we ever think it would get to where bmx flatland is now? I’m psyched for the next 20 years, I got into this in the late 80s

@@anhumblemessengerofthelawo3858 he wants them to float! 🤣. I'm guessing though he just means flexing between wheels mid combo and back flips.

When you think about the cultures of Asia it makes sense they’d be into flatland. It’s the least property destructive form of BMX and they don’t always have that American/Western attitude of “f*** the man!” Which we use to just grind rails with no worries
