The highlands side of Barbados is so pretty, the town area where the ship docks, not so much. I like the way you slipped in some footage from St. Kitts, another beautiful island, from the Pool Bar. Tea Time looked very relaxing. I am very impressed with Viking from what I've seen.

There were never any lines at guest services. Not kidding. I popped down there twice (once to get stationary and once because I forgot my card) and there was always someone sitting at a desk waiting for me.🥰 And no complaining that I heard!

On my trip last January I only saw 1 staff member that was somewhat upset/frustrated the entire trip. Someone called her on her ship phone to talk about a problem going on as we were leaving the ship for our excursion, and the only thing she said to this other person in a stern voice was......"I don't have time to talk about this!!" and she hung up. That was it and she had a big smile on her face just seconds after that happened. Your room steward will have your name memorized within about 6 hours of you being on board, waiters will remember your name if they see you quite a bit, and they will ask you tons of questions about where you're from, what you do for a living, and what fun stuff there is to do where you live. As far as the guests, there are some people that complain a little, but it's about stuff so small that it's really not worth complaining to the people at Guest Services because other cruise lines don't even come close to the amount of attention is paid to the quality with Viking.

@@PatricyaT You probably won't see many negative reviews about Viking. If you do it's probably someone who is always bitter or wants to complain, or they had a bad experience that was out of Vikings control. The staff is paid better than pretty much all other cruise lines, they are asked to do less, they have like 2 months to do whatever they want when their contract for that season is up, and with the free wifi on the ship, they can call or video chat with family and friends whenever they want.
