Any kingie on softbait gear is a meritorious catch, and from a kayak is even more impressive. Tangaroa gave you his blessings that day, though, mate - handlining in a kingie at the end could have gone horribly wrong! I was just waiting for the leader to ping. All's well that ends well!

Cheers mate, hand lining was a calculated risk, my new net is deep but wouldn’t have engulfed enough of the fish and I only purchase top shelf fluorocarbon which gives me faith 👍

Wasn’t worried about measuring it Matt, straight back into the water, showing respect to Tangaroa and the fish 👍 All my biggest Kings and Snapper have been released, I don’t need actual numbers as it’s the fight remember 👍I

I’ve still got the Reload, adding the 400 means we have the full range of Viking fishing yaks, they all have there positives and negatives and I plan to cover that in future vids
