Why not just make the kit supplied side boards longer? Having to fabricate extensions seems like a silly manufacturing error.

The boards are made longer, but fitting the boards can take away that extra length, which is why I showed how to solve this problem.

@@PavelNikitinShips. If you are aware of the possibility of the side boards being too short, why not make them longer for the kit? It is far easier to make one cut to adjust the length rather than having to go through a several step procedure to lengthen them. By posting this video, you are admitting a fault with the kit. I was planning to order this, but now I think I won’t, unless the kit is updated and the problem is resolved.

​@@stephensinksen7259 it's not basically a kit issue. You shouldn't usually have such issue during assembling parts. As I understood, video just displays a possible method how to resolve problems when you made a lot of mistakes on previous steps. Mr Pavel Nikitin usually assembles the kit 3 times before it goes to production. So you can buy and believe me - the kit is amazing!

@@stephensinksen7259 In this kit, each board has a minimum of 5 mm to spare, but when fitting the clinker planking in the bow of the ship, this reserve may not be enough for the modeller. I can't vouch for every one of our customers. That is why I have shown a way to lengthen the board. This method is suitable for any kit that we produce. It is up to you to buy or not to buy our kits.

@@stephensinksen7259agree. Just make them longer to trim. No logic there whatsoever.
