Brandon Stone is a stage name, real name is Bessarion Shpetishvili. He is Georgian, born in 1980 in the USSR, in Tbilisi. Of course, he knows Russian (he speaks it no worse than his native Georgian). He wrote the song "The Day You..." for Diana several years ago. In general, he has been collaborating with her for a long time and writes music and arrangements for her. Bessarion’s family went to Germany in the 1990s, where he graduated from a music institute with a degree in jazz composition. Nice review of this great duet ... The setting and the Performance are both excellent. Brandon has a long standing connection to Diana and has written and produced for her he also played and arranged on What a wonderful world. Brendon stone is indeed not from a English speaking country, he is is in fact from Georgia and uses ‘Brandon Stone’ as his stage name. Brandon Stone known and worked with each other when Diana was around 15 or 16 years old and they are great friends. He writes and produces her music and tries to get out of her comfort zones to broaden her technique. Brandon has produced many of Diana's songs and was in a duet with her a few years ago. Check out Baikal (it's from a motion picture...an original song by Diana). In My Huge City came out a month or two before this duet was performed live...one of my favorite Diana originals. The spectacular live performance of Paul's Dream from the movie DUNE in a Hans Zimmer tribute with a live orchestra. It's alien, grandiose, tribal, atmospheric and spectacularly Diana.

One of my favorites by her is from the "Show Mask Go On" entitled "Oh' It's Not Yet Evening" kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZe3moShf9d_n5I. It's an over 300 year old folk song about a Cossack warrior who dreams of his death in an imminent battle. On Diana's face you see sadness, anxiety and pain of the soul of the Cossack warrior. One would swear she borrowed that soul to perform the song. I'm not sure how many people appreciate the emotional gasps she produces here that absolutely melt me.
