Violet Orlandi's smoky alto starts this off with the right vibe for sure. (And that Guns and Roses cover they did together is on her channel. It's definitely a must see.) The two of them take the listener on a journey of longing and desire with this. It's totally hot. And Victor of course gives them the platform with his wonderful guitarwork to achieve this. Yes I like the original and I love this.

Every original Dan touches turns out to be inevitably better. Violet is sexy and her voice is as well and they make a great match. Like Dan, she’s Brazilian too. However, they’ve recorded their parts separately, difficult to imagine that given the perfection of the video as a whole. Both great professionals. I think this is one of my favorite videos from Dan. I loved Seal's original, but this was so much better. Their look has been described as the perfect vampire couple.😅 Just the looks on their faces added so much texture. Their voices were beautiful together. The grit at the appropriate places was perfect. Victor killed it, as always. I listen to this often. This is how Dan takes a beautiful song and makes it metal. Perfection! Loved your reaction. I am so glad you started our new year with a song in the top five of my favorites by Dan. He and Violet sound so very good together and I'm locking forward to more duos by them. I know they did Guns and Roses' song "Patience" together and it was good, but "Kiss From A Rose" is epic. The combination of male and female gives it much more passion than Seal's original, which I also love. But, like you, I feel Dan and Violet give it much more of interest, and Victor always does magic with whichever guitar he happens to be using. Since I've seen that video probably a dozen time already, I got a big kick of watching your reactions. It nice to see someone as enthusiastic as me enjoying this wonderful discovery....Dan Vasc.
