The choir and orchestra sound as though they are performing as though they were the ones who first appeared to the shepherds, watching the sheep before they went to where Jesus was after his birth. Viking, may the joy of the birth of Jesus Christ which you have felt in your soul continue with you and your loved ones this Christmas season and throughout your life. Thank you for your comments on the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square. While I am not a choir or orchestra member, I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I find as much joy in their performances as you do. They always stir my soul with the Spirit of God that reaches into the strings of my heart and causes me to remember that inexpressible peace and joy that can last through any life challenge.

Every year at this time I'm thankfully thinking of Joseph Mohr and Franz Xaver Gruber, who sang this for the first in this little austrian church in Oberndorf near Salzburg, only played on guitar - the organ didn't work because of hungry mice. This was in 1818, and now this song is known all over the world. How proud they would be to hear it performed by the wonderful Tabernacle Choir. Happy Holidays everyone - and a calm and silent night tomorrow. And thank you, Viking - for all your work all over the year. 🎄🎶

I absolutely love your reactions, especially to the Tabernacle Choir ❤️💕❤️. I think you would absolutely love this performance from them in 2002 where they did Silent Night and recounted the Christmas truce of 1914 during World War I. It is absolutely amazing!!
