She played Nothing Else Matters with Metallica on the Howard Stern Show, it's mindblowing. And she did a cover of Maybe by the Queen Of Rock Janis Joplin, and she performed on Chris Cornell's tribute doing Say Hello 2 Heaven (another one that deserves your attention).

She wasn’t just young, she was a child when she first came to prominence. She had to grow up in the public eye. She reacted to her good girl image as Hannah Montana by acting out, trying to show the world that wasn't who she was. It's so gratifying to see her forgive herself for the craziness and claim her grown-ass woman confidence. ❤
@micheleriberdy12526 ай бұрын
I completely agree. I've stated to my friends who look down on her: All the stupid cr@p you did, aren't you glad there were no cameras around to capture it? How would you fare growing up in the public eye with everyone scrutinizing your every move? She is her own person and immensely talented. Can't wait to see where she goes next!

I think your analysis was spot on. She dated actor (her co-star in The Last Song) Liam Helmsworth for years, including during Hannah Montana and when she “went crazy” twerking on Robin Thicke at an MTV award show. After 10 years of dating they got married (after they lost their ranch in the California wild fires). They got divorced because he felt she changed. She was judged by the public because of the drastic difference between Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus vs Miley Cyrus without Disney. So it’s a combination of alllllll those times she got called crazy for just having fun and growing up. It’s normal! She was figuring out who she is too. It’s a great song! First time I’ve seen the video and it broke my heart seeing her tear up 🥺 but it made it that much cooler when you see her confidence!

I appreciate you, your channel, your reactions and your insights so much. This was out of your comfort zone, and I loved your reaction to it. I wasn't a Miley Cyrus music fan back in her "wild and crazy" days (i.e., the "Party in the USA" days through the Robin Thicke/foam finger/weird performance thing at an awards show era), though if she'd wanted to strip down to pasties and paint herself with bubbles, clouds and rainbows for a video I wouldn't have thought less of her for it - simply "youth experimenting with youth stuff". But more recently with "Flowers" and now "I Used to Be Young" (which really hits home since I'm Gen X and feeling my age), I've become a fan and appreciate the songwriting that she does as well. She deserves all the credit in the world for just putting one foot in front of the other and surviving her childhood in the public eye, and making that horribly awkward transition that not every child star survives from child star to an adult career. Props to Miley for not only surviving, but finding a way to grow through it all and truly thrive.

You were pretty much spot on with your analysis. She was the typical disney kid (hence the Mickey Mouse shirt actually all the outfit fits to a certain time in her life). Growing up with all eyes on her always the good innocent girl next door image with a father (Billy Ray Cyrus) being an already established Country singer later actor. She was expected to hold up that image but didn't do so. She radically changed her image by doing stuff like sparsely clothed twerking, kissing boys and girls alike. basically stuff lot of people do in their private envoirement growing up but she didn't have the luxury of privacy and was jugded for being young and worse. I think that song reflects on that time perfectly. And yes she is 30 only so still young!

Thirty-one is still young. I'm 67 and I still feel young. I don't know when, if ever, I'll think of myself as old. There is a difference between youth and young. Age is just a number. Young is a mentality which is not necessarily related to age.
@Kayvid0027 ай бұрын
She didn’t say she is old. But you prob don’t get the message. People judged, criticized and blamed her since she was still a little girl.
@karehelene7 ай бұрын
@@Kayvid002 Nor did I say that she thought she was old. She's literally saying the things she did that were criticized, she did because she was young. She also said she had fun doing them. How often do people get excused for doing something because they are young - they'll learn? And when we reflect back, we might even think that something we did was really stupid, but we didn't have the inhibitions that stop us now. Follies of youth, etc. To me she's literally saying give me a break, I was just a kid, a teen, young.

She does amazing rocks songs. I like those the best. The covers. And collaboration she has done. She is looking at her mom through the camera while singing this. And yes adults were cruel to a child star. Saying things that adults were in charge of. And Disney is brutal to young kids. She did a few shows at 9. And 12 got HM. 13 first week out she was famous very fast. With that show they made millions one. They worked her 12 plus hour days. Tours etc. For 5 years. So much to tell. Metallica and Maybe form Janis Joplin are great also. Look for all covers. I love her own music also.

Listen to the rest of her songs most of her songs are dealing with her relationship with Liam. He decided she needed to be like June Cleaver or mother knows best and she wanted to write and go on tour and he did not want her to. Supportive husband, huh?

She played the part of a girl named Hannah Montana, That was Not her real name, She Is Miley Cyrus, the adults who were supposed to be guiding her talked her into taking pictures for a magazine showing nothing o but a sheet , and when the reactions from that went wrong, They told this child that it was her fault and it was her responsibility to apologize to her fans and oh f course she did because these adults wete telling her to do it!😠😡 You still want to blame her for everything that happensed to her. 😡😠😡😡
