I think Ragnar's story was absolutely perfect. Travis just became the character. I don't know why but for me the most important thing was that Ragnar was already broken before his death. Missing his life as a farmer with Lagertha and his two childrens. He had something to believe in. Also he had friends, those who died one by one, breaking piece by piece Ragnar's mind. And I actually cried when he came for a last attack against Rollo and Paris, because while being under the influence of drugs he saw Lagertha and his farm. I completely identified as the character and like Ragnar, I remembered the beginning, before becoming King, when everyone was there, alive, living his own life without any problem. Nostalgia striked harshly when this scene and the music played together.

This program has sat waiting for me until I got time to see it just this month. For my money Floki had to have been the most challenging character to play followed by Ragner then Ivar. Not taking anything away from the rest of the cast but for those three they had to shift from mild insanity to ultra serious facial expressions and then anger often all in the blink of an eye. I so hope to see all the cast again in other projects.
