Cashman didn’t play against Detroit in the first game and Jalen Redmond didn’t even sniff the field in that game. The biggest takeaway I see is that you have a lions team decimated with injuries and you have a Vikings team defense particularly that now has 16 games played together under their belt. Detroit has kept their foot on the gas all season and have shown they are strong, the real question is what does Detroit have in the bag of tricks that isn’t on tape. I only say this because the Vikings have introduced new wrinkles on both sides of the ball week in and week out. A prime example is how they came out on defense last week and played man to man 50 percent of the game and shut Green Bay out until they went prevent. On offense they read the field from shallow to deep when they are unanimous for going deep to shallow. I can’t wait for this game.
@Dp1bulls1Күн бұрын
No offense is like Detroits. All we need is a stop or two on defense and it’s a game. By no means does it guarantee a win but I do stand by that. Our offense is good enough against ANY defense in ANY coverage, it comes down to the defensive side of the ball for Detroit. Possibly having Thor back is huge as well.

new subscriber here; been watching you guys throughout the season. firstly - get well soon nate hope you are feeling better and back on your feet soon. secondly - chris man i wanna say thank you for being probably the most fair in your vikings coverage on the year. i could go down the list of guys who have been shitting on sam all year (shady mccoy, shannon sharpe, james jones, stephen a, etc etc etc). real sick of that 'seeing ghosts' narrative that continues to get spun up by talking heads when i believe that shit is just no longer relevant. other than you, maybe jt osullivan, jon gruden, it's been kinda slim pickings for fair perspective on the team. you guys have been really good and i've really enjoyed your takes. as a videographer/photographer, i've been clipping all the talking heads for months, along with all of the various shouty shows and weekly picks and team pressers, putting together a '2024 vikings from the perspective of a vikings fan' edit, kinda putting some of the idiot pundits on blast for their shit takes, and you guys have been a real surprise. thanks for the entertainment over the season. hope you guys make a return trip to MN next training camp; i think a lot of us vikings fans would like to see that next year. good luck to your teams in the playoffs. go vikes.

I'll take 1 or 2 nil over Peterborough, but they can score and we struggle to score, so I think we need Okonkwo back in goal to make it happen. And O'Connell needs to bounce back - which I have full confidence he will. Fully agree on the Striker. Has to be a goal producer. Nothing less. Gotta keep our goals scored at 2.0+ I do think we need another stopper in goal on loan to finish the season. Nothing to expensive, but Okonkwo is going to need a solid League 1 No. 2 behind him for that stretch drive. Let's go Reds!

Coach of the year is a tough call, but if Detroit wins and gets the 1st seed, you have to give it to MCDC imo. The Lions have played without a ton of guys for weeks and still won. It isn’t like just 3-4 weeks. They have lost guys all year, and in the past 6 or so, they have been picking guys off the practice squad and street to fit them in the game, and still won with the exception of the Bills. I cannot say that I have ever seen a team continue to win with such injuries in my 60 years of watching football. Now, KOC has done a great job with Sam Darnold and Minn has won 14 games, but don’t forget Det has won 14 as well. Nobody really saw that coming either. Tough call, but the winner of the next game gets the coach of the year.

This Lions vs Vikes game has a lot of significant changes from week 7, but I think the bottom line is that Campbell is too scared to punt because right now the Lions D can't stop anyone. If one team can't punt, and plays 4th down roulette against a defence that is top 2 vs the run, and top 3 in takeaways and sacks - that's a recipe for disaster. This game could go sideways very quickly for the Lions, like the Bills game without the 4th quarter garbage time comeback.

Do you recall any the the past several games between these two teams, one team is averaging over 30, what team is that 🤡? Detroit 45 Viqueens 30
@robe250419 сағат бұрын
@@DetroitLions59 I recall all of them, that's why I understand that the 2023 games are irrelevant. I mean judging the 2024 Vikes on their 2023 season without a QB1 is why everyone thought they would only have 6 wins right? Doesn't it seem a bit stupid to base anything on those games now? You could go back to 2022 when the Lions and Vikes split - but then you'd probably realise that the Vikes 2024 QB is better, offence is better, O Line is better and Defence is top 5 compared to bottom 3 then. That should make Lions fans a little nervous. Or you could go back to week 7 and note that the Vikes were a pretty new team, still learning the scheme and building combinations on both sides of the ball. Or you could look at the obvious differences - the Lions minus 5 or 6 starters from that game, even more if you count rotational guys. And the Vikes up 3 or 4 starters and maybe a couple more if you count rotational players. But go ahead, celebrate those wins over Nick Mullens, KJ Osborn, Mattison, Danielle Hunter, Andre Carter, Dean Lowry, Khyris Tonga, TJ Smith, Sheldon Day, Jordan Hicks, Barr, Akayleb Evans and Andrew Booth, Jaylin Williams. I think you'll struggle to find any of them out there tomorrow.

16:30 or why did we wanna rest the starters on the Eagles squad for the playoffs? Are the playoffs not a meaningful game now either? Momentum was the point for Dan Campbell but also it was a vendetta game. They want revenge! That is a football team you play to win. You play in the moment for the moment! These coaches are thinking they're playing chess, they're realky playing with fate! Play to win! Starter shouldn't be sitting out getting rest if they're healthy. Starter should be playing preseason IMO. I'll die on that hill
@arthurfonzarelli9828Күн бұрын
yeah thats absolutely wrong to play a single snap in preseason...........there's ZERO EVIDENCE a team that sitting their starters in preseason is better or worse off early in season. Also as if a guy getting 20 snaps or so 14 days earlier will make him better player 14 days later (no game before reg season starts), haha come on. Thats just purely silly to think. In fact the year Rams won it all in 2021 they were first team ever that didn't play a single starter one snap in preseason at all and they also started out that year going the longest without their first loss proving those preseason games mean zero. Not to mention these players/teams now get work in scrimmaging other teams in camp. If your way than may as well run physical drills, tackle hard all week, that could cause possible injuries etc.... Bottom line risk/reward is how we look at EVERYTHING in life and there's question risk isnt worth the reward. That said Campbell said he didn't play backups last week mainly cause be bad to put all those guys in to start/play full game after NONE of them spent past week getting reps or getting mentally prepared to start. Going to make a lot of unconfident (likely young) and least talented non-starters look bad on tape and likely lose much needed confidence in future putting them in a such an awful spot.
