I wouldn’t say and upgrade on the field it honestly doesn’t get much better than Danielle, but definitely an upgrade as far as leadership, being vocal and mentality. And he JG also fits the scheme better

Greenard and Hunter are both absolute dawgs, I'm not even gonna compare them. Just happy to have them both in purple at some point in their careers. Hopefully Jonathan for a while longer.

@@jrunna198 greenard is an upgrade. Danielle’s sacks were always meaningless ie 3 sack games when Philadelphia were beating our asses and he’d get a coverage sack being down 3 touchdowns. That’s not impactful at all. Greenard is an upgrade.

@@jabbadabba1978 Hunter demands either a double team, a tight end, a protection slide or a chip from the back almost every single snap unless the play is designed to go away from him. I like Greenard he’s a Dawg and really versatile and smart but Hunter is a one man wrecking crew. They have 2 different styles and Greenard fits great in this scheme

I love Danielle Hunter and it sucked seeing him go, but Greenard is a perfect fit for the defensive scheme. We need fast and versatile edge rushers. He’s already fitting in nicely and showing leadership qualities

JG is a more versatile player than Hunter. As much of a beast as DH was as a pass rusher, it was not natural for him to drop into coverage. He got better as the year went along, but JG is a much more natural fit in that role… nice game!

It sounds like what happened was Kwesi pretty much just got a list of free agents from Brian Flores that he could use, and he just went out and got most of them. Obviously not Wilkins who we got outbid for, but we went and loaded up on a complete linebacker overhaul. We lost Hunter, Hicks, and Wonnum, all guys who struggled in coverage, and keeping up with more agile skill position players, and we replaced them with Camu, Van Ginkel, Cashman, and Greenard. Agile guys who can cover, and AVG and Greenard especially can also create pressure off the edge. Greenard is looking like he's going to take yet another step forward after breaking out last season. Kwesi went hibachi style this offseason, and he did it his way, he said these guys are all making too much money, and these new guys are good buys, and he's right. That Wall Street background actually paid dividends for us this offseason.
