Стараюсь быть похожим на него Ему играть не давали. А мне на работе за то что играл в обед вынесли мозги Слышал про себя. " Лучше бы так пил как как в шахматы играет"

The way he introduced Smyslov is so majestic. "My opponent was legendary chess player, who was 17 in 1938, won the Moscow championship, and much later, several years later, faced Botvinnik, and for one year, he remained the World Champion. It was Vasily Smyslov who played white" Shows the immense respect he had for his senior colleague and friend.

Gramps Viktor Korchnoi is an excellent Endgame player and he beat all the World Champions in his time. He is my favorite player.

A great man. One of the greatest in chess history. If Fischer was THE hero for most Americans in the early 1970, for me and many others behind the Iron Curtain, in the late 1970s and later, Korchnoi was the epitome, the fighter par excellence both within the 64 squares and outside them. A man who dared and successfully challenged a cynic and murderous system. Rest in peace.

Should I dislike karpov for using the the advantages of the party? Korchnoi's son in the gulag, etc?
@soullesspits4253 жыл бұрын
@@davidblack2970 do as Victor did, love the player, hate the guy.

Cynic and murderous system?Classic brainwashed comment,coming from the cold war. Okey,the system had it flaws,but this"cynic and murderous" system once was very generous toward Victor Kortchnoi,he was taught chess for free in very good Soviet Chess clubs,when he become a grandmaster,he was awarded a very solid sport scholarship,he could travel abroad,thing that many of Soviets couldn't afford,he was privileged in many ways. By the way,Victor was a great chess player with an unparalleled love for the game of chess,but he wasn't the best human being,that to be said

PS From the impressions I have, Kortchnoi was a man, Karpov, with all due respect, is just a person.

If chess could incarnate, it should look like Korchnoi; this man is chess.

Always loved Viktor. He wasn’t a perfect human being, but he was warm blooded, very humane, and battled the Soviet establishment almost single handed. Oh, and he’s the strongest player who never became World Champion. RIP

in the last variation at 10:39 white mustnot take on c3, this gives black two bishops against a rook. So B*e6 and maybe Rc7 or even c2 should be correct play, of course.

Putting chess aside, this video has a lot of ASMR features.
@mikahamari59944 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I had this on CD long before KZbin, first decade of 2000s. I used this as ASMR much before I had heard the term. This still is one of the best unintentional ASMR videos I know.
