The music for this short video was provided by the hydraulic fountain in Villa d'Este, in Tivoli, about 40 mins from Rome. Water in pipes under pressure pushes air into chambers that then produce the notes when the air is directed into the organ pipes. It is totally 'automatic' (i.e no-one is actually playing this organ). All the more remarkable when you consider the gardens and water organ were built in the mid-1500s - nearly 500 years ago. The video shows various shots of the gardens but not the villa, as alas, cameras are not allowed inside! The gardens in Versailles, France were based on these gardens.
