Villa Romana di Sirmione: le Grotte di Catullo - The walks / Le passeggiate di Rossella e Umberto

Fantastica questa passeggiata nell'epoca romana, questa villa o domus molto antica è una vera SPA moderna, credo che a quei tempi era qualcosa che si avvicinava alla fantascienza con le varie terme di ogni temperatura e le zone di aria calda diffuse dalle intercapedini dei muri. Anche la pianta e l'architettura è molto particolare e ben studiata in questa zona del lago. Mi colpisce molto lo spessore delle mura e il tipico arco romano che sostiene strutture imponenti come "l'aula dei Giganti. La veduta sul lago è stupenda, ho visto anche che ci sono zone di lavori in corso con dei capitelli e parti di colonne forse in marmo bianco. Si caro Marco , ci è sembrato di camminare nella storia ..... I Romani ci vedevano bene nel costruire sempre in luoghi ideali !! Doveva essere molto bella a quel tempo questa Villa Romana ....e chi sa quanta vita ci è passate in quelle solide mure che ancora oggi sfidano il tempo !! Thanks for the lovely visit Shaz, among these ruins for those who know how to listen with the heart: the stones tell stories, they make our imagination fly !! If you look carefully with the blue eye you realize that two thousand years of history are there ... under your feet; True too many to understand how much wealth surrounds you !! As you say .... these ancient trees called olive trees also tell them of a time in this present they do it with grace, for us figures of this life! Heartfelt thanks and a big hug from both of you

@@RossellaLolli I watched your video again Rossella & Umberto there is so much captured too much to see just the first time..As I looked at the stone walls 😀 I was taught that the ancient stone buildings have memory ..like the Neolithic Stone Circle called Avebury near to where we live ,The keeper of the Stones " who looked after them " was a Druid who said the Stones of Avebury have a very high amount of Quartz, that is why they were chosen..and as we use quartz in small amounts in watches to keep time...maybe our ancient walls and buildings are Timekeepers of the Past !!!
