Amden is located on a sunny terrace above Lake Walen - a true natural paradise. Scenic Alpine peaks and rugged rocks alternate with lovely, almost Mediterranean-looking corners - this mix makes up the Amden-Weesen destination. The original natural landscape around the two communities is part of the Federal Inventory of Landscapes and Natural Monuments (BLN) and is therefore protected. The original Alpine landscape in Amden-Weesen with forests, moors, peaks, streams, Mediterranean plants and bays on Lake Walen is a paradise for nature lovers.
The beautiful landscape can be en joyed actively or leisurely. Numerous alpine farms and restaurants with panoramic views invite you to linger and the panoramic view is free of charge.
