This is mouth watering recipe. One of my favourite Sri Lankan food. Appa and seeni Sambal. Wow. God bless granny and the kids are very lucky. I love the backyard cooking. It's so nice to see and hard to believe these areas still there in Sri Lanka with this fast space world. When we live far away from Sri Lanka it really touch our hearts with these types of cooking. When we come to Sri Lanka we always look for village food but these things are getting disappear so thank you for your effort and make it happen.

That's looks very tasty although it may be a bit hot for my liking with all the chili pepper! Lol since having children I haven't eaten hot peppers very often as I would get cramps in my stomach. That looks delicious. Question if I do not find all the ingredients can I still cook it. Can I use another dry fish? Curry leaves and pandan leaves I do not have instead of curry leaves can I use curry powder?

you can use some smoked fish instead of dry fish. if you do not have curry leaves, cook it without that. but do not use curry powder. Thank you
