Kokoko unchained ladies and Mmabatho🥶 who else is watching in bed plus electric blanket on☺️ Back to the style comment, I do go with trends but always keep certain things classics like woods and leather pieces which could be tv stand, coffee table or occasional chair. I have moved from the greys to creams and beige but I only changed couch and rugs because keeping other items neutral you can make changes without breaking the bank. Accessories like mirrors, vases or picture frames can always be re-painted so yeah I definitely do get influenced by trends but make sure I don’t change out every but just switch and replace just few things. Going back to the vlog do check Builders Warehouse they have nice bathroom bins, I’m excited about the village home laundry pieces can’t wait to see it all put together. Lastly we thank God for the grace for the growth in such a short space of time, many have wanted this kind of content and you’re relatable so 10K is fast approaching. And yes ma’am we watch ads 😃. Looking at your style I see my self in a way.. well I’m more influenced by my home, grandparents home and uncles home .. my family loves antique so much I grew up around that style and I think I have incorporated classic style and some modern look in a nutshell I’ll say “modern classic is my style” at home I tend to swop around my deco.. play around with them I love wood furniture and i hate buying over and over rather save and buy that expensive furniture and keep it forever. That’s what I know and that’s what I have been teaching my kids

How I choose to style my home firstly depends on the architectural design of the house. So I try to make the furniture and all the decor in the house sing a similar tune with the overall design of the house. With that being said, I still do go and buy the things that I love even though they might not be within the particular design scheme that I have chosen in my house but I think that's what makes your home unique from all the others. Your special touch is definitely important and I think that's what elaborates your personal style.

I realised my style has remained the same. Love clean lines; natural textures and I’d describe my interior style as Natural Luxe. Then I get influenced by the colour I’m feeling in whatever season of my life I am in. Right now I’m transitioning from a season of prosperity (Greens) to a season of being grounded (Golds; beige; dark brown). I realised I rarely follow trends. I’m also not a fan of rustic woods and rustic materials. Ke rata soft life too much 😫

Good topic. I hv gone down a rabbit hole of wanting something unique. Had many friends building at the same time and they gravitated to a certain look, some parts of tht look l really liked butrralised l am limiting myself so much because l dont want to copy. I am more of the earthy type tho. I love the beige and the browns and the olive greens

Adding on l hv kind of cut down because l always get judgemental comments like the browns are way out of style now. They wr in our grandmothers era type of comments. I wanted a very farmhouse kitchen with some oak wood cabinets but majority of ppl keep saying its old. So yea sometimes ppl/social media will hv you secind guessing wht is home to you.

As long as you love your home, even if it’s dated or out of style or too colourful, who cares? It’s yours and you love it. And another thing: oak will never go out of style. I love love plain, neutral designs. Reason being- I love cleaning and would want to see when something is dirty, not dirt hidden in dark colors. Also, neutral colours, mainly white also just brings in more light in the space and I think my mind just feels right about it. I just can’t have enough of white decor🤦🏻‍♀️. Sesi, I would say I like trends and also it depends how far it influences me. I am one person I like my own style. I have now lately gone on a DIY mode where I try to to a lot of thing myself e.g. storage boxes for my socks, scarfs etc. It keeps me busy especially because I am at home. I get a lot of ideas from Pinterest. Very therapeutic for me. I like your style a lot very simple and lovely. Ke rata light colours because then I can see when it needs to be cleaned 🤷. So, I love the rustic look and old contemporary. I am the girl that uses heavy good wood that will last for generations. Not a fan of decor pieces as they collect dust a lot. My furniture pieces are very plain and then I use carpets and wall portraits, light fixtures and cushions to add detail.
