I recently heard about Pastor Taariq Patel and His twin brother and when I discovered he is the new pastor at Village SDA Church, I started listening to his messages. His expositions have began to challenge and inspire me into deeper Scriptural studying. Indeed if we have come to the borders of eternal Canaan, then delution and deceptions are also here. Indeed many are standing on Adventist pulpits with the torches from hellish teachings. May the Lord bless his ministry.

You know the message comes directly from God, when you don't see the human behind it anymore. We read Jeremiah and all the other prophets many times, but Patel made it come alive and the Word of God became like a 2 edge- sword. As I listened to the message I forgot who was the pastor speaking as the Word of God pierced through my soul and spirit. A young pastor who has a true burden for souls. I am SDA this was an excellent sermon with a message for me. Patel is very knowledgeable and is well spoken. And he speaks from the scripture without adding his own interpretation, he reminds me of the older generation of pastors from the 1950’s and thev1960’s love these messages. I pray God will always be your guide and that you remain solidly grounded on the true Rock. As all of us should be. I honestly believe, that the LORD has brought Pastor Patel to Village Church in a timely manner. Primitive preaching will serve to prepare the church for the coming crisis. Sermons need to be spot on if they are to edify and strengthen God's people. This young man appears to be what God has ordered for such a time as this. He ended his sermon with a verse that fit perfectly like the last piece to a puzzle: Jeremiah 6:16 - "Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see,and ask for the old way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. " We, must chose which way we will go; whether to live or die, because the conflict is that intense. Again, I believe that the Village Church has been blessed with this young Pastor in a timely manner, and those of us watching on social media. God bless you Watchman Patel. Perhaps, "for such a time as this" God allowed this particular church to experience this type of turbulence as He knew they would "press together," stand firm and not relent; AND by their example, show the rest of the SDA brethren that it can and should be done, no matter the cost. Perhaps, God instrumented for this to happen because He knows that Pr. Kelly and Dr. Vine are strong enough to endure and that by enduring, they would set the example for the rest of us. I know Adam, Taariq, his mom Esmie and step-dad, the prior Pr. Arthur Branner, from the church down in Sacramento where they last pastored. Sad how Esmie and Arthur apostatized. Definitely, check out the testimonies of Adam and Taariq. Their coming out from the world, their struggles to overcome drug and alcohol addiction, their conversions are a real testimony to the power of God to save all to the uttermost. Esmie's testimony, pre-apostasy, is very good, too. Pray for her and Arthur.

Well I look cautiously the development in VSDC. I am anxious because SDA is detouring from established truth to umbilical teachings by affirming LGBTQ, Hand holding under the bosom certain individuals who basically oppose Adventist established truth. If someone expose these errors then the church should pos for a moment and investigate if its so instead of silence the one who expose. If this happen then the problem is on the head of organization.

The very last deception of Satan will be to make of none effect the testimony of the Spirit of God. “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18). Satan will work ingeniously, in different ways and through different agencies, to unsettle the confidence of God's remnant people in the true testimony.-Letter 12, 1890. They make of none effect the testimony of the Spirit of God because they teach that the spirit of God does not come from the Father through the Son but comes from an entity (god the holy spirit) other than the coming from the Father through the Son. We appreciate this message overall, but we don’t appreciate the pastor’s reading into the Bible things that aren’t written therein. The Bible says, “Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from off the prophet Jeremiah's neck, and brake it.” (Jeremiah 28:10). There is nothing here that even hints of any sort of violence committed against God’s prophet. Please, Pastor, don’t make up sensational twists to the Scriptural narrative to produce excitement. Scripture contains plenty of excitement without adding unbiblical falsehoods.

Why don't you explain to Jews why they have got it wrong? They say there is no concept in Judaism of God having a Son. Others point out that Matthew 24 is a failed prophecy in that Jesus did not return as promised within their generation. Then there is the school of thought that the book of Revelation was written in coded language because John was writing about the Roman authorities who were persecuting them. Why write in code if Revelation is about events 2000+ years in the future? Then, when Christ did not return in 1844 we say it is the event we got wrong. Jesus said no man knows the Day nor hour of his return so why were they convinced in the first place they had interpreted scripture correctly?

The devil is particularly skilled at distracting people with side issues, leading them to forget about God. Drawing such a conclusion from that sermon is a serious misunderstanding. I listened to a sermon that highlighted the Word of God, guiding us directly to Him. Let us keep our focus on God and Him alone.

@@DimitriWeir What does "Focus on God" mean really? It is just a made up phrase used by many to excuse not wanting to do anything or say anything that will rock the institutional boat. Christ is the Word and to "focus on the word" is to "focus on him" . Therefore we should do what his word tells us to do right? We are called to be Watchmen on the walls of Zion. What happened in that church are not side issues, they are major issues. The word says that if we do not sigh and cry for all the abominations that is done in the midst of Jerusalem, we will not be sealed. Ezekiel 9:1-6. Now that, is to really "focus on God"!

He is quoting Ellen White because the Bible said in the last days God would send prophets. Seventh-day Adventists believe that Ellen White is an end-time prophet. Therefore, quoting Ellen White is not being unfaithful to the Bible.

Sorry guys,,,,,,,,but I can't warm up to this pastor. Something doesn't set well with me concerning him. He didn't want to be there.....they kind of 'forced his hand' and stuck him there, rock in a hard place, back against the wall kind of thing. He comes across as sneaky,,,,,,but I'm at the point I don't trust a single Conference pastor on the planet. Time will tell about Pastor Patel, he may turn out to be a very godly man, but I don't know how anyone can be godly while being under the thumb of such a corrupt conference as the MI conference.
