I've dealt plenty and received just as many of those hits. Trust me, it HURTS and often leaves players nearly crippled later in life.... If they don't recieve a career ending injury in one hit. And I am 6'5 and around 200 pounds myself but I've seen some giants out there, and much more often than one would think, and they are usually just out shopping with their kids, getting gas, or out to eat! its truly telling that, even without knowing a thing about the game, some of them recognize a "good play" when they see it. 14:33 is an excellent example. He doesn't know about downs, the play clock, the game clock, any kind of penalty, offense or defense, plays, how to score points....NOTHING!......But he knows that was a nice run up the middle :D

@@lynkrig5635 Yeah, gridiron football can get a little hard to watch when you have no idea what's going on... 30 seconds of chess broken up by a few seconds of outright war, then do it again over and over for 60 minutes. Think of all the people who say "but they have a break between every play!" No, they prepare for the next battle and every *moment* of that preparation is important, but you need to know what's going on to make that part interesting. Once you do.... absolutely addictive to the point that I can get pissed off when there's a commercial break during a good/crucial drive.

@@lynkrig5635 yeah maybe not a whole game, but instead of random clips could've had the highlight reel of a single game or even just show a single drive down the field, give them the sense of the teams trying to get first downs and touchdowns and such; as you can see the one guy just thinks it's basically wrestling with no goal system lol, they definitely couldve had clips that gave them a better sense of the thing (though I get why they just wanted the hard hits highlight for the reaction lol)

Grandpa is awesome on the drums! Loved watching the reactions to American football. Believe it or not over the years there has only been a handful of deaths on the field in professional American football. The helmets and the padding are designed to reduce injury but it is still one of the highest sports for injury. Oh! Before I forget there are some girls and women who play this as well!(not the man with the long braids hanging from his helmet)

I'm sure the wives are nervous, but those multi million dollar paychecks help cushion the anxiety somewhat. However, repeated concussions have caused players problems with premature senility later in life, and the N.F.L. (National football league) has been very proactive in improving helmet designs to prevent brain injuries as well as refining the protective padding they wear.

I think channels like yours help to bring the world closer together, because it has us meet real village people and hear their opinions. But it also goes on the opposite direction as you’re showing them a side of America without any explanation. At some point, you should have explained the game and rules so they understand. Also, show them parts of a real game where they are kicking the ball, making touchdowns, etc. By showing the video you got without an explanation, they come away thinking this is a violent sport involving wrestling moves. Obviously, once you understand the game, one looks at it in a very different way.

In the 10th grade of High School, I had a class mate that was on the football team of the school. In a game, even with the helmet, and pads, his neck was severely broken. He became a paraplegic. The local university named a building after him. Which they tore down a few years ago. Fame is fleeting. A severe injury is forever. This is what I learned from that.

I don't like this video! They don't know the game so why show them this? You never showed them or told them the object of the game and that is SCORING TOUCHDOWNS! All you did was show them a compilation (a bunch of games put together) of players being hit and thrown to the ground. That is why they were confused.

And this is why they often have such short careers and end up with traumatic brain injuries. They are given opiods for the pain and often get addicted. Seriously, I don't like this kind of content for the channel. It's violent, and I can't see a positive benefit.

There are plenty of football players who go on to retire with fully functioning lives. Many of the ones who sustained serious injuries have said they would play again if they had the choice. The dangers are have been known since 1920 but many thousands still sign up every year. Tradition and passion

NHL hits videos and NHL fight videos always seem to go over well
