so condescending! So because they don't look and act like you they must be savages? Stop allowing the media to form your opinion of people and cultures you are not exposed to. Most people in the world are the same. They embrace family and friends and just want to be loved. Remove your ego

I love how when the guitar solo hits around 3:20, every single person wants to close their eyes and play air guitar, no matter the culture. Same thing for the breakdown around 4:45, and I love that one of Sarru's main take aways was apparently "Mama Mia" and that he saw what a main character Freddie Mercury was right away.

He has a PhD in astrophysics and worked on the project that sent the space probe to Pluto to get those pictures of it and the other planetoid. The brilliance of Freddy Mercury and the band.....It appealed to heart of these villagers and they understood the music. Another FANTASTIC song to consider reaction to, is: “SOMEBODY TO LOVE” by Queen. (Also written by Freddie Mercury… he actually thought it was a better song than “Bohemian Rhapsody” and it was his FAVORITE song to perform live.) There are a couple of FANTASTIC live renditions… My FAVORITE is: At MILTON KEYNES BOWL IN 1982 (Another well-known version is at Montreal in 1981… They’re both WONDERFUL in very different ways, very different renditions.)

It's funny that when the opera section kicks in in every single reaction video I've watched, everyone starts smiling. Little kids, Germans, Mexicans, Spaniards, elderly, it doesn't matter. One thing I am surprised about in this particular reaction was that they didn't respond to the several times "Bismillah" was said. I was anticipating a reaction and they didn't. Having said that, in the beginning, it was cool that the guy on our right looked to the sky when Freddie said "Look up to the sky and see." Unless of course, he speaks English AND heard the song before, which I don't think is the case.

When they put out that music video last year I recommended it and said why I thought they'd love it. I would highly recommend translating the lyrics and letting them read them first to get the full impact. Great suggestion I definitely think they'd love it. Music definitely has power and it has a very important message about how to treat people. Also about what an impact people can have when enough people speak up for others. It's definitely part of the reason why modern Australians stand up for other people and why so many people want to visit our country. Long before it became a criminal offence people who say or do something hurtful to someone else have been getting into trouble over here. If we see or hear it they will receive dirty looks and a severe talking to. This song is definitely the reason. I'm so glad more and more people are discovering this song. John Farnham is an incredible singer and that performance is amazing.
