I was gonna comment the same he even mentioned Washington D.C. after. Each state does have capitals for the state but for all U.S the capital is Washington D.C not Washington State 😄 the capital for Washington is Olympia.

I live a half hour north of NYC in an area called The Hudson Valley and it's absolutely beautiful up here. We live in the mountains alongside the majestic Hudson River and every drive is so scenic. 10+ yrs since i moved out of the city and im still in awe

I love when the one man said we are so lucky as American's to be able to travel to such beautiful places so easily. From where I live in West Virginia, it took us about 5 days to drive to California (stopping to sleep at night). America is so vast it is not easy and is quite expensive to travel from one side of the country to the other side.

Great video, could you do this type of video on other countries too? I live in England and there are many beautiful places and castles here too, as well as in Scotland, Wales and Ireland. To give you a sense of distance, Washington D.C (the US capitol) and Washington state are about 3000+ kilometers apart. They do frequently get confused.

My Papaw served in USAF in Nome, Alaska before it was made a state. There is a picture of him and other soldier friends standing in the midnight sunshine. He saw many times the Northern Lights. Also I believe that he told my husband that the best place to see them was in Montana. The East Coast is very beautiful too.

I’m in California , don’t let that video determine what is best in America , every single state has something beautiful and unique. Giving a top 10 opinion doesn’t mean they are right . Beauty is in the eye of the beholder . You could tour America just visiting different types of trees . California has the Biggest , Tallest , and oldest trees in the world . The big Sequoias, tall Redwoods and the old Bristlecone pines . Thank you gentlemen, you inspire me

I enjoy my home in mountains of Oregon way better than any other State, and because I have been employed traveling nationwide, my job as a long haul truck driver, I've been to almost every State except Hawaii and Alaska. I have family living in Alaska that love their lives there fishing for Alaskan Salmon, and prospecting and gold mining activities. We have placer gold mines here in Oregon too. Ya'll would have much fun enjoying nature of fishing, hiking, camping, rafting... you can ride on jet boat white water excursion on the wild and scenic Rogue River in Southwestern Oregon. I grew up there. Molalla Lake, Crater Lake, Diamond Lake, Toketee Falls are in Douglas and Klamath Counties of Oregon. I like your cool attitudes and caringness for everything.😊

I've been blessed to live in 4 States on the list. I grew up in Montana, spent a decade in Oregon, a few years in Utah and now loving life a mile from the golden sands of Lake Michigan. Montana still holds my heart but Michigan is a close second.

Oops, that bear in Alaska was most likely a grizzly bear. Highlight the white polar bear!---This was a great sampler, but I've traveled to many states, & was feeling unsatisfied with this list. (I live on the California Central Coast, but grew up in North Dakota, & lived a long time in New Mexico.) Having said that, I'm glad the fellas got to see a snippet of the variety in our land.

Born and bred in Oregon here, my family drove and camped all over both states. I wouldn't live anywhere else. I've seen almost every state West of the Rockies and a few East, but Oregon and Washington are glorious.

My family settled hundreds of years ago in the Ozark Mountains of southeast Missouri, and it is so beautiful. There are many clear running rivers and streams, plus the beautiful mountains. And I know there are so many other beautiful places in our great country. My husband and I have been lucky enough to travel to almost all of the states, and they are all beautiful. I wish these young men could come travel and see all of it.

Every state has it's beautiful scenery. Georgia and the Carolinas with the great Smoky mountains should've been on that list. Arkansas and even Oklahoma have some beautiful places. Tennessee and Kentucky are gorgeous! Lots of mountains and caverns. Texas is all of it in one state....mountains, coastline, rivers, swamp lands, prairie, desert, caves, Texas has it all!

I agree ! Southern coastal states are particularly beautiful with massive oak trees with Spanish Moss adorning them. And the Smoky Mountains just gorgeous

I've lived in Alaska most of my life, starting at the age of 3 (I'm nearly 65). I've also traveled all over North America and nearly every U.S. state and I can't agree more: Alaska is by far the most beautiful. I live here and will die here, God willing (I've already purchased my burial site up here). I'm so glad these gentlemen liked it and I hope that one day they will make it here. They won't be sorry for the journey.

Yes, Washington DC (= District of Columbia, = not a state) is south of Maryland and north of Virginia on the east coast of the USA. It is the seat of our national government. Washington state is in the extreme northwest of the contiguous "lower 48" states, adjacent to the country of Canada (just under the province of British Columbia). (The other two states, Alaska and Hawaii, are much further away, disconnected from the rest of the country. Alaska is up north and to the west of Canada, separated from Russia by not many miles of the Bering Straight. Hawaii is in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, in the tropics.) The eastern part of the US was settled first by the colonists (Dutch, English, French, etc.), and then spread west over the next roughly 150-200 years (sadly displacing native Americans all along the way). So historically, that is why our capital is on the east coast. Most of the population of the US is still in the east, with higher concentrations on both coasts. The eastern states are generally smaller, and the western states are generally much larger.

Just to clarify for you guys because this even confuses Americans sometimes; Washington is a West Coast State, whereas Washington D.C. is the United States Capital, and is located on the East Coast near Virginia. Also, the Rocky Mountains in Montana is the same Mountain Range in Colerado, and it also covers Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and goes north into Canada.

I live in Oregon. It is the most beautiful state I have ever seen. I have been to several different countries when in the Marines and saw many beautiful sights. Oregon Has won my heart. I feel like every day here is a vacation. If you can avoid Portland and the insane Politics there its the best place in the world.

It has started snowing in Montana. We have a summer place near Glacier National Park snow has arrived! My main home is in Washington State and I have lived here about 68 years. Wish they had a map to show them where Washington State is located on the West Coast. Our state has two mountain ranges, a rain forest, and amazing land features.

Well, I'm from New York State, so of course I think we should be on this list as well. Very diverse geology in our state. From the beautiful sandy beaches of Long Island (formed when ice age glacier receded), to caverns and gorges and the giant Adirondack mountain park upstate, to majestic Niagara Falls in the west...and of course amazing New York City, one of the world's greatest cities.

@Patricia Morgan I know, right? I live in the foothills of the Adirondacks and nobody in these "top 10" videos ever picks NY State! I grew up in the South and moved here 10 years ago when I got married because this is where my husband grew up and his job is here. I fell in love with this area right away. I think it's because when most people hear New York they automatically think the entire state is just like "Manhattan" and have no idea what beautiful places exist in the other four boroughs and in the rest of the state. 😕 Nothing against "the City"... It's one of the greatest places to shop, eat, see shows, etc. but it's really just a fraction of the rest of the state. The Adirondack Park might not be a National Park, but it is a National Historical Park and the mountans, lakes and rivers are stunning! And I learned several years ago that it's actually bigger than Yellowstone, Everglades, Glacier and Grand Canyon National Parks combined!! Two thumbs up for New York! 👍👍

And I didn't even mention the Hudson River Valley (so beautiful it inspired a style of pastoral painting, plus great farming there, orchards, livestock), the Finger Lakes Region (wine growing up there, as well as down on LI), Lake Ticonderoga (historical as well as beautiful), plus two of the Great Lakes! Most of the states you list have good places to visit but most are bad places to live. I like Sout Decoda but that is all. The best all around states are Missouri, Alabama, Texas, Louisiana, Ohio, Georgia, Tennesse. Minnesota and Arkansas. North and South Carolina also.
