I think they would be fascinated (as I am!) to see them herding sheep. "Border collies" are born and bred to do this and they are some of the most brilliant and hard working dogs out there. The way the owner whistles signals to the dog from far away how to move. It is mesmerising. They might also be fascinated to see other "working dogs" like seeing eye dogs, etc.

I've requested this also and included a link to a video of herding dogs that walk on the backs of sheep to corral them. Also search and rescue dogs that locate victims. Plus animals that detect diabetes, cancer, etc. But all they show are funny animal clips

Better is the farms where the dogs do everything, they open and close gates, whilst herding the sheep.

Aiding dogs that unload the washing machine and get post etc. those that help in health situations too. I certainly think the sheep herding is a good one being that they have livestock of their own. Cats also do assistance work.

Raeen needs a puppy to raise with his son. A medium sized dog. He'll get over his fear, his son too if he's given that fear to him. He'll gain a completely loyal lifelong companion with true unconditional love. Be careful of approaching dogs you do not know since you don't know their temperament or health status. Just throw the treat or put down good in a bowl until you get to know them.

In less wealthy countries, dogs are generally working animals, and used for protection. When traveling through rural Mexico, we saw many dogs, but knew they were there to guard the family home or property and always respected that. They are not considered "pets" the way we do in Western Europe or North America. Use common sense, and learn to read the body language of dogs you don't know and things are generally fine.

From what I have picked up, there are a lot of stray dogs in their village that just have to survive on what they can find + random people's occasional kindness. I wonder what the villagers would have to say about super pampered dogs and their owners spending sometimes thousands of dollars on vets, expensive medicine, surgery, fur grooms and doggy daycares. 😅

The vid of the wolf researcher returning to the pack years later is probably worth viewing. You will get tears in your eyes when the wolfs that were puppies at the time respond to him with love and the older ones acknowledge an old friend.

Please tell them that at 2:17 the white dog is bothering an animal called a skunk. They are cute little animals but when threatened skunks will spray the threat with terrible odors.

Oh! 2:30 Our friends have no experience with the "skunk"! 😂🤣 They raise their tail high to warn and then will spray a foul musk that will hang in the air and also onto a threat. It is almost impossible to wash away. Clothing must be disposed of and one must bath in tomato juice to neutralize the odor. 3:00 is an opossum, or colloquially known as a "possum" and is one of the only marsupials in North America.

I have so many huge bears coming into my yard and it got scary a couple times. For some reason in their ultimate wisdom the game commission let 38 bears out into our community a few years ago and now they are all over the place. One even charged me. It is fun to watch these videos. These are good people. Thank you!

7:25, that tiny dog harassing the rhinoceros is a Dachsund. Looks like one of the smaller versions, and none of them are big. But they were bred to hunt badgers, one of the most ferocious fighters out there. They would follow a badger into its den and kill it. Tremendously courageous dogs. They don't realize how small they are!

Some people were surprised, when revisiting Chernobyl after years, to find that the dogs left behind were doing just fine. (The offspring, obviously). The small breeds were not there anymore, but the large dogs survived well without humans.

We domesticated dogs and cats 1000s of years ago, they are now our brothers and sisters (cousins at least.) Their brains, especially the dog's, have been change by our social interaction with each other. And as the saying goes "we do not deserve dogs."

German Shepards from my experience are good dogs. Mix in Husky or Malamute, but they like to run. I wish I could have a wolf. Or dog with some wolf.

I have a Beagle x English Springer Spaniel and I can't let her off the leash because even on one she's constantly pulling me to get to cats or squirrels (sometimes other dogs) I think it's the Beagle side of her as they're known to have a high prey drive

I wonder what makes a dog different in which it doesn't recognize it can get injured whenever it faces much more dangerous animals or situations. Its definitely more useful than a burden to have that ability but it makes me wonder how theyre brain works. On the other hand cats are very cautious and will only fight things its own size

Perhaps a dog is different in that they would hunt in packs. So in their mind maybe they don't necessarily think of it as a one-on-one encounter, whereas cats are stealthy solitary stalkers..

She is right there is not much difference between a wolf and a dog other than a wolf being stronger and have larger jaws than a dog but other than that you can't really tell the difference maybe it's because dogs are descendants of wolves just like cats are descendants of lions and tigers

The small black animal, a skunk, sprays a noxious fluid on the dog. It makes their eyes and mouth burn and makes them smell TERRIBLE for a long time! That fence is ELECTRIC, the dog seeking the donkey was shocked by the fence! I have a very small dog, a chihuahua. He is very loving to me, but very FIERCE against people he feels will do me harm. Yes, Raheen, if you have a dog, they will be very loyal to you and not bite you.

Dogs are domestic wolves, DNA tests proven that already strongly, dogs are wolves that we befriended in the ice age. Thousands of generations of life alongside human changed them. It also seems that it was done at least twice independantly. Wolf can be brought up from pup as pet but he retains shy nature, is easily scared, easily provoked, not pationate etc. Very sharp animal, not desirable companion if you are not extremely experienced. In some breeds there seems to be an addition of jackal. Native american dogs are sadly extinct and it seems those were not true dogs but another fox-like animal instead. Regarding bears they are as clever as dogs but they are not group animals (people and wolves both live in groups) and can be very moody and unpredictable so they were never domesticated. Sometimes in distant areas a man can befriend a bear but it was never common, you have to raise the bear from a cub (nurse it to health from terrible injury etc, strong bond) and even then bear bonds with few people but is still quite dangerous to others. Admirable force of nature not to be underestimated.
