In other words, the probability of our existence, even amongst the vastness of the observable universe, is so infinitesimal, you'd think we were "fearfully and wonderfully made". Wow, "marvelous are thy works" indeed.

YEC view cripples the works of an eternal infinite God into a little 6000yrs box, Dr. Ross opened me the door to worship God for the immense deeds and thoughts God put forth to sustain man on earth and redeem him. I was hard core YEC, thinking science is designed to explain God away, but I realised it was lack of knowledge, Scientific theories are ruthlessly tried and tested, that's why scientists are shifting from evolution to intelligent design. Calvin and Luther thought earth was fixed, that was ok with the knowledge of the day, so was YEC, but it is time to step up! God bless

@@JoshKgeorge If there were a god, then would there be any demand for scripture interpretations by various podium-jockeys using fantasyland vocabulary? We really should address the social acceptance of large numbers of people speaking a fantasyland vocabulary & openly indulging in the deceit of religious belief as a tool of fascism. These are the wolves in sheep's clothing, we know them by their works: A wicked generation seeking signs when Jesus The Nailed says faith is worthless if you can't move mountains by issuing verbal orders to one. Freud wrote the antidote to Christianity is literacy. The Christians slapped their books on the Old Testament, & the Mormons glued theirs on to them both, thus proving Christians lack quality-control. Look at the verbose podium jockey speaking of faith & prayer as if we all should have a preference for travel with one foot in fantasyland. Nothing fails like prayer in a children's hospital, & there is talk as if God does not have a perfect record of doing nothing, as if we had no reason for the saying: God helps those helping themselves. A house divided cannot stand. We vote because Christians have no quality-controls, & we desire those governing not making suggestions travel is best done with one foot in someone's fantasyland. 'Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.'' It was secular law & order ending the inquisitions & witch-killings. One might expect a deity to make itself known to everyone without work performed in interpretations of old literature by guys like our verbose podium jockey. Theologians acquire grand titles without certification from a deity, & project certainty using fantasyland vocabulary in an academic setting to compensate for lack of reason.

No one will seriously want to deny that God is an extraterrestrial! Apparently he's bored, so he's experimenting with our universe. However, there are also people who claim that he died in Auschwitz and therefore no longer has oversight over the earth. That would explain a lot. @@SamytheGreek Day is not the same as 24 hours, not in the past and not today. The earth is not 6,000 years old and the Bible does not teach this. Hebrews 4:9-10: "There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his." This tells us that the 7th day has not ended. Thus day 7 is a long time span, thus day 1 to 6 must be a long time span. Each believer are to enter into day 7. Also there no "evening and morning" for the 7th day. As day 7 as not ended. Biblical Hebrew has a limited vocabulary, with fewer words compared to other languages, such as English or Spanish. This means words often have multiple meanings determined by context. Day - yom is commonly rendered as day in English translations, but the word yom can be used in different ways to refer to different time spans thus literally is: Sunrise to sunset Sunset to next sunset Time period of unspecified length. (long time span ). We use the word day the same today: In my grandfather’s day cars did not go very fast. Deuteronomy 33:15 and Habakkuk 3:6 "ancient mountains". Gen. 2:4 “in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens” The events of day 6 can n ot have happened in 24 hours. Have you entered into the 7th as Hebrews 4:9-10 asks you to? Creationism does not equal young Earth. There are many Old Earth creationists.

Instead, the Hebrew phrase that is translated “the heavens and the earth” is used to refer to the universe-the entirety of physical reality. The phrase is used thirteen times in the Old Testament, always referring to all matter, energy, space, and time the universe. We now know that event was 13.787 ±0.020 billion years. This has been checked, proven and measured with many tools and they all agree. It is not just space that came to be 13.787 billion years ago, but time also. The universe is finite and expanding. Just as the Bible stated thousands of years ago.

I need clarification on a couple of things if you please. It is my understanding that God's command to Adam to fill the Earth was not obeyed and that man kind all lived together in one place, likewise with humans after Noah's flood the command to fill the Earth was not obeyed and man kind insisted that they all should live together in one place. Q. were there no pioneers that ventured away, no explorers, no mountaineers? How do we explain cave art, artifacts etc. in Spain or Siberia that are 30,000 years old, surely the Tower of Babel event that caused God to scatter man kind wasn't that far back in history, or was it? Q. How did God expect Man kind to fill the Earth at the time of Adam and likewise at the time after Noah to fill the Earth in the middle of a huge ice age?
@mattvalentine7094
@mattvalentine7094 5 жыл бұрын
Samthegreek Boy Ross believes Adam was created 40-50,000 years ago. Not sure where that puts Babel, but his chronology fits with archaeological evidence as far as I know. He’s mentioned that God’s command to fill the earth could have been fulfilled if Adam’s lifetime given his long lifespan and number of children, etc. But sin causing violence and murder, prevented that possibility. I suppose if ice was covering a third of the landmass, it was an easier task to fill the earth back then at the present time.
@samthegreekboy6812
@samthegreekboy6812 5 жыл бұрын
@@mattvalentine7094 An easier task back then in the middle of a huge ice age? unless you mean to fill the Earth where there was no ice, like Africa, India, Australia but certainly not Europe or the Americas. If there are cave arts in Spain 35,000 years old does that really mean that the Tower event was before that time, that far back? could adventurers have made it to Spain before the scattering of the people at the Tower event? Time lines are throwing me off.
@mattvalentine7094
@mattvalentine7094 5 жыл бұрын
Samthegreek Boy I only meant that the inhabitable part of earth was smaller during an ice age.. that may have made the filling of the earth commission easier. Only speculation on my part. If you take a deep dive into Hugh Ross’ videos, he’ll explain his day-age old earth creationism. It sounds very plausible to me. He believes humans were supernaturally created but not 6,000 years ago. More like 50,000 years ago. So cave art in Spain 35,000 years ago would definitely not contradict his biblical timeline. In English “day” mostly means a 12 or 24 hr period, in Hebrew it can also mean a long period of time, that is Ross’ position. So the six days of creation took several billion years, and we’re still in the seventh day presently. God is resting until evil is eradicated and then He will create again on the eighth day.

Your question is actually far more interesting than you think. The text doesn't say fill, it says REplenish in the KJV. The earth was inhabited and full of life before man with God's previous creation. The preAdamic race we only know of by demons now. That God destroyed by flood the first one which we see the result of in Gen 1:2 a flooded destroyed frozen(no light/warmth) planet. Which we know God never created since the bible says everything God creates is good, that isn't good. Remember right before Gen 1:1 God created the heavens and the earth, and God never created the earth like we see in Gen 1:2 so clearly events took place. Then we see God restoring the planet and creating man. "Let" is not a word of creation but permission, the light was already created. That's why we are dealing with all these other questions the topic isn't as straight forward as it seems. It's quite a huge topic, one of the biggest in the bible, but is rarely investigated and talked about because of the little relevance to a Christians daily walk in Jesus.
@samthegreekboy6812
@samthegreekboy6812 5 жыл бұрын
@@WaterspoutsOfTheDeep That would not be my point of view, Replenish means plenish , if you look in an old dictionary, plenish and replenish mean the same thing "to fill" only newer dictionaries say that it means fill again. and no sir ree, their was no pre Adamic race (of humans), Angels are pre adamic and yes they did fall before Adam.

Maybe you need to brush up on your history of Islam. Mohammed was a much greater con man than Smith. He from the beginning presented a new gospel attempting to appease the beliefs of Jews and Christians in order to unify all to follow him. That never happened, and as he gained political power, Jews and Christians became his central target for persecution, but , Mohammed literally copy and pasted from the entire Bible to the point he was mixing up scripture, speaking of Jesus mother Mariam as the sister of Moses Mariam. My main point is this, he made of scripture on the fly in order to protect his sinful deeds.

Astronomers can look at a star billions of light years away and know whether or not that star can harbor a planet that can harbor life, so far they haven't seen any.

We have studied 20 million stars, and not one can support life as they are ALL too unstable, we are alone. The Sun is the only stable star. Of the 4,100 solar systems studied, not one looks like our solar system, able to support life. Almost all the 4,100 solar systems studied have Hot Jupiters. In normal planetary systems giant planets form beyond snow line and then migrated towards the star. A small percentage of giant planets migrate far from the star. In both types of migrations, any rocky planet like an earth is lost in these planetary migrations. Most stars do not have planets. Many stars are in bi-star systems, thus no earth-type planets. Have not found another galaxy that can support life. Must have stable arms for life. Thus we are alone.

Damn, I was hoping that he had it figured out. Apparently not. You can't believe God some of the time and discount him at other times. The Bible is very specific about creation taking 6 literal days. Not millions of years.

That is for those who are simple minded. But the truth is unbelievable. God is an invisible fifth dimensional extraterrestrial who conjured up the universe visible to us from hyperspace. Unfortunately, he is currently using the zoo he created for thermal experiments. No one will seriously want to deny that God is an extraterrestrial! Apparently he's bored, so he's experimenting with our universe. However, there are also people who claim that he died in Auschwitz and therefore no longer has oversight over the earth. That would explain a lot. In any case, a lot of people deal with nonsense in their live. Worshiping extraterrestrials is not so wise.
