Smaug's death was caused by a black arrow, not by the fall. Villains are characters not extras, such as with the Goblins in The Hobbit Part 1; which are just enemies. Plus the Goblin King death was caused by Gandalf's sword, not the fall. The T Rex does not count as a villain. For they're not evil, they just do as what is nature for them.
