As a Pisces, I understand zaina so much. We never stand on business when it comes to these men. When he didn’t propose, she should have walked away then. He said in so many ways that he didn’t want to be with her but she didn’t hear him. They both contributed to the confusion.

JR'S decision at the end was to leave single. That is as plain as it can get. She got closure then. She thought buying that man gifts and going out with him after the fact was going to change his mind. Zaina only has herself to blame.

I don't think i necessarily agree that Sandy did all that for him (made him feel seen). I actually think he was more fake around Sandy. He didn't even use his real voice. He tried to sound like a valley girl. I think if anything, he felt more "validated" being with a white girl of a higher class. It was a self esteem boost being with someone that couldn't relate to the struggle he had experienced. Remember Zaina said early on in the episodes that she and JR had similar backgrounds. Sandy was a fresh start in that he could be anyone he wanted to be and she would believe it because she has no knowledge of his culture or him.

Zaina is a hurt woman. She didn’t stand on business. He was very clear, the fact that Zaina didn’t end things with him for real when he chose to leave single is her fault. I have been in Zaina’s seat and in JR’s seat. It is hard to hurt someone you’re used to being there for, it doesn’t mean JR was right for also not letting things be over, but you also don’t wanna be the bad guy they’ll make you out to be when you truly stand on your word. Both of them needed to just stand on what they said they would do if JR decided to leave single. They’re both wrong. But Zaina is no Saint in this situation.
