Why when the final moment comes when you can be happy, there is always something that ruins it? It is true that Villanelle began to fantasize, after such a traumatic day, but is not worth the effort to go wherever to be happy the two?

Catherine Koshkat I think both were so attracted to each other because they represent something the other want so desperately in a way, but would never achieve. It is possible that in Villanelle’s mind, she only saw the way she wanted eve to be, not the actual eve. So that might be why she was so upset at the end when their “illusion” was shattered. For eve, at the last scene, she feels betrayed and manipulated. It’s not hard to understand why. She just got set up by Carolyn, and manipulated into killing Raymond. At this point she can’t tell if running off with Villanelle would be just as dangerous as staying. After all, control is not love. I would have appreciated it so much better if they had ran off into the sunset, but really is it a logical thing to do for Eve? Let’s just say... it’s not that Villanelle doesn’t LOVE eve, it’s that she really doesn’t know how to make Eve feel appreciated. Eve was the only person Villanelle had ever possibly appeared vulnerable to, and the only person she’d happily die for. Eve was correct, in conclusion that Villanelle don’t understand what love is. Or she has a really twisted way for giving and receiving it. 1: The scene at the forest when eve stepped out of her car in S1 Ep3, she kissed the gun and fired it at eve. Could it be she shot Eve a kiss in her own twisted way? 2: So obvious when she told Gabriel that eve stabbed her because she loved her. Maybe Eve did, Villanelle thought it might be Eve’s way of saying that she didn’t want this game to end, that she wanted it to carry on, that she cared and loved it. Or I’m going crazy idk we’ll find out

What Eve and Villanelle's case demonstrates is what happens when it comes to the treachery of trust via manipulation, all depth of feeling and good will you claim to have for that person is called into question before their immediate dismissal in value. A consequence that goes double for open psychopaths. On the same token their whole investment in you be it platonic, carnal or romantic is inevitably made worthless. Especially when you view one as no less than a possession rather than an actual person. With that said Eve was pig ignorant to believe she was special enough to tame Villanelle's psychopathic tendencies and not end up a victim of them. Just like Villanelle foolishly thought she could trick Eve into killing for the first time and expect her not to feel betrayed and defiled. Eve got played twice and Villanelle got abandoned twice. With that said, in a way both ladies gave each other their just deserts.

Gracias por compartir. ¿Se ha dado cuenta la gente que al final del 8º capítulo de la 1º temporada, cuando Eve lastima a Villanelle, aquella se preocupa y trata de ayudarla, Villanelle le dispara y sale de la habitación y Eve queda preocupada?. Noté que al final del 8º de la 2º temporada, en cambio, Villanelle dispara por la espalda a Eve, y se va dejándola sola y tirada en el suelo. Villanelle ama a Eve, pero aún no sabe amar de verdad, pues, aunque haya hecho algo loco, como lo expresa este video que has colocado, -“a veces, cuando amas a alguien, haces cosas locas”-, aún no ha tomado conciencia de la dimensión del verdadero amor…., pero no dejar tirada a la persona que amas cuando tú misma le has disparado. Have people noticed that at the end of the 8th episode of Season 1, when Eve hurts Villanelle, she worries and tries to help her, Villanelle shoots her and leaves the room and Eve is worried? I noticed that at the end of the 8th of the 2nd season, however, Villanelle shoots Eve in the back, and leaves leaving her alone and lying on the floor. Villanelle loves Eve, but she still does not really know how to love, well, even if she has done something crazy, as this video that you have placed says, - "sometimes, when you love someone, you do crazy things" - she has not taken awareness of the dimension of true love ..., but do not leave the person you love lying down when you yourself have shot him. We'll see how the third season continues, and I want it to start, it's a lot to wait a year.
