Eric Ponce because that's not how the draft works. For example Frank Mason was Naismith player of the year (best player in college basketball) and was drafted 34th. It's so much more about scouts evaluating NBA potential and less about collegiate accomplishments.

Long term candidate for Steal of the Draft. He has had an impressive rookie season and fits the mold of a 3 & D wing who has proven to be excellent at finishing around the rim. The Lakers are lucky to have drafted him.

we are trying to put up competition guys, Jordan Vs Hart Nwaba Swaggy Ingram Vs Kuzma Brewer Rob Vs Randle Larry Vs Randle Rob Black Bryant Zubac Vs Lopez Zo has no competition, because of low rate of defensive mind
@charldaughter7 жыл бұрын
Nick Young opted out, and I doubt he's returning. Kuzma's more of a stretch 4, so he'll be competing for minutes with Randle and Nance, but I'm sure he's going to make it onto the roster. Bryant's pretty raw, so idk if he's going to be on the roster, especially cause he's competing with 4 others in the center position, but he can shoot 3s. Josh Hart will forsure make the squad because we're short of guards who can defend. Lonzo is 100% the starting PG. Some guys from last year's squad might get cut this year. Mainly Ennis/Brewer/Black/Robinson, and maybe Bryant gets sent to the G-League. They might end up signing other guards in the offseason too.
@PeekaPeep7 жыл бұрын
charldaughter I actually see Ennis and Black returning (Ennis for sure, Lakers don't have another true PG outside of Ball on their roster right now). Brewer perhaps gets retained, but I get the feeling Kuzma's versatile enough to play the 3 spot as well and he can actually space the floor from long-range for once. Yeah, I don't see Robinson coming back unless he wants to be a third string 4/small-ball 5. Bryant's got potential in Luke's system, but does need at least one year of G-League ball to improve his mobility and defensive positioning. Could be a good team down there if undrafted siginee P.J. Dozier makes the cut out of SL (along with Kuzma if he gets stuck on the far end of the bench).

Lakers fan here, but to me the biggest steal was Jordan Bell. He was picked in the second round and he is the best defensive guy in the draft. Apparently only Bulls and GSW saw his skill because as soon as he was picked by the Bulls he was traded to GSW for 3.5 MILLION. The second was Ike Anibogu who is the youngest player in the draft and has a lot of potential. But I'm glad we picked up Hart. Very disciplined and is an Eagle Scout.
