HI! I'm Justina and in this video I explain the longstanding competition between Vilnius and Kaunas cities in Lithuania. Both cities become even more competitive around Christmas season. Let's see and compare their Christmas trees and have a walk through decorated city streets.

I'm travelling around all 60 municipalities of Lithuania, a small country in the north of Europe.
Though now because of the covid-19 pandemic there is a quarantine in Lithuania, I will have to delay new video shoots until everything settles back to normal more or less.
Yet I'll still be making more videos about Lithuania during the winter, so there will be something to look forward for!

And does Lithuanian speak Polish too? Are Lithuanian and Polish similar/communicable?

There is a large Polish community around Vilnius region, but everywhere else it would be hard to find someone to talk to in Polish, the languages are very different. Russian is more widely known around the country

Nice channel. Very informative videos about Lithuania. I enjoy watching. A comment on what you said about nationalism in Kaunas, globalization would ruin Lithuania like what happened to other countries. Hold on to what you have, cherish it, and don't give it up so easily. Otherwise, one day you will wake up in another country that's no longer yours, wondering what happened with regret.
