I owned two of the TTartisan 27mm and they were both terrible with major issues. One had the gold pins bent and won’t update. The other one had vignette so bad it wasn’t usable. My favorite pancake is the underrated 20mm 2.8 for apsc. Very sharp and compact with fast autofocus.

Really wish they'd have an APS-C version around 16mm since there's a lot of smaller bodies to really make a stealthy build with a pancake like that. Hell, a micro four thirds version on something like a Lumix G100 or even a throwback in the GX850 would be even better

They need to make a 18mm full frame version of this small lens to use on APS-C it would be wider view (28mm equivalent) and very compact on a crop sensor camera. 42mm equivalent is still very practical angle of view but i prefer wider for travel purpose.

What I like about the size of the lens is for storage of just having a lens on all of the time and not worrying where You placed the Front Lens Cap.

Dude is there a way to AWB LOCK on zv-e10? I cannot believe my old canon elph had that PRETTY HANDY option when filming on changing environments outside and this one does not! I just cannot believe, I hope I just couldn't find it.

This is not true. The lens works like every other lens on the a5100 but only in photo made, however in video mode it suffers from poor focus performance.

Well I have the TTA 27mm f/2.8 so I don’t see how this one could be better for the a6700. It is not as small but I can do f/2.8-16.

How I wish I can use this on my ZV-E10 mark 1. However, since it is fixed f4.5 and zve10 has no IBIS. I think capturing a sharp photo is struggle. specially indoors. :(

Hi there, Only main feature it seems to be the size of thingy, but in terms of quality, a standard lens 16-50mm can get a better quality at 28mm with less f-stop. So, i don't think this lens will have succes, if it would be 2.8 or 2.4 f-stop would be really cool at that price.

You didn't mention the possibility to damage the lens and possibly even your camera's sensor with that lens. Viltrox stated so on their Indigogo for it. If you turn your camera on and the lens cap is closed, it can lead to damage. "First, Sony cameras perform a focus travel calibration from the closest to the farthest distance when powered on. This 28mm F4.5 lens uses an external focusing design, meaning the entire lens group moves back and forth to focus. In addition to protecting the lens, the lens cap also helps fix the focusing group. If the camera is powered on without removing the lens cap, the body will attempt to calibrate the focus travel, which may cause potential anomalies. It is important to note that while this action may not immediately damage the lens, there is a potential risk involved. We believe it is our responsibility to be transparent and inform you of the potential risks associated with this method of use. However, we do recommend this approach to help ensure the lens has a longer lifespan."

@@EVERLAST223 it won’t damage the camera. Sony asks you to put in a lens cap when doing pixel mapping. Sensor cleaning modes don’t require a lens. You can also your camera in in pitch black - there are many times a cameras lens is blocked from light. And in regard to the lens, Viltrox is being extra cautious because has tiny focus motors

@@EVERLAST223 I own this lens. No it will NOT damage the camera's sensor. The reason Viltrox wants you to open the lens cap before turning on the camera is that the actual lens protrudes beyond the lens caps during start up.
