@@1729krish while Shami performed really well, Rohit and Dravid went with Shardul and Hardik in the first couple of games because having a deep batting lineup and bowling lineup is crucial in modern day cricket. And Pandya being fit in the final would have meant Ashwin playing instead of Siraj, and Ashwin said this himself on his podcast. And Ashwin always gives a difficult time to the Australian batsmen like Warner, Smith, and Travis Head. Hardik just being fully fit lends another level of balance to the team. He along with Bumrah are Team India's biggest assets when fit.

Criticism was not unfair but the hate was. To target his family and all, these are not cricket fans, they are seasonal fans who don’t understand the game. His performance and antics deserved criticism but he didn’t deserve the hate. Fans should draw a line, especially with personal life and family. Agar miller ka chakka lag jata to aaj sab gaali de rahe hote. Juicy full toss tha, wind ne bacha liya, rabada jiss ball pe out hua wo bhi slot me thi, again wind. Congratulations hardik. You are a champion. I don’t agree the criticism of his form and fitness was unfounded or unfair. The main concern was that he is such an important player and he is always unavailable. But he has shown heart and courage. His runs and contribution are important in this victory. I think the criticism has humbled him and he’s purely focused on cricket instead of other than cricket stuff which goes around. I’m not convinced with his bowling. If not for windy conditions miller would have deposited that full toss in the stands. A champion player is the one who shows with his performance.
