It's not just that Vinai has great technical skill, it's that his playing is so incredibly melodic. That's what puts Satriani above all the rest is that ability to tell a story and move people with great note selection. Vinai has this same talent also demonstrated beautifully on "Summer Haze". Vinai and Jack Thammarat should be headlining stadiums in America. Their talent is that good!

i agree that it is practicing hard with a guitar, but you need also some sort of talent to truly feel the instrument and * feel * what you are playing. some guitarists play flawlessly, but it sounds robotic, becouse they lack the abillity to * feel * a song, you need some sort of talent for that. you got it or you aint, also most people dont have the patience to truly master the guitar, and they give up :).... i think vinai does have this abillity, and it will only get better with experience.. no doubt vinai has amazing talent
