Your control in how you pick the strings with delicate strength and the amount of pressure needed at the proper time and positioning to prevent noise and promote clarity is AWESOME. This is seriously one of the most important aspects of a top tier guitarist. I know many players pick too hard when they pick faster, or straight up pick too close to bridge. Volume and the overall vibration of the strings is really overlooked hard in comparison to technique.
