Very great speech by a very great speaker! The NFL really prepares out youth for leadership!! Coming from an NFL alumni but I've seen the impact!

I miss being this young, and this free, and this happy and healthy... I wish I was this attractive when I was young and had the freedom and the money to just let go and live. Life gets so scary as you get older and finances and health issues start to creep up.Its so fun to watch and just live through them. Anyone reading this who is still young, please enjoy it. Don't stress the small stuff, honestly. You are going to be amazed how fast time goes. And its actually unfair how little time we are alotted to be young. Dump the abusive partners, dont waste time on them..Quit jobs which make you unhappy. Just enjoy those precious few years, because the destruction which comes after is relentless. Enjoy your beauty, enjoy your HEALTH, and give thanks to every new day that you get to wake up

Vinay is great. The thing that really makes this speech stand out from the rest is his unique manner of pausing. He'll take short, sharp pauses in the middle of his sentences that subconsciously make you interested in the next word he'll use. Substantively, it's a very well-constructed speech. There are maybe one too many jokes that rely on him suddenly becoming serious (5:30), but that's just a quibble.

some may argue that he over gestures but his hand movements are soft and subtle which makes them more natural and not as distracting. They add rather than take away from his speech.
@chriszhen573711 жыл бұрын
I liked the inspirational content and catchy one-liners; however I felt his hand gestures were a little too superfluous.

I think his hand placement--clutching his hands together at chest level, as opposed to letting them rest at his sides--makes him more prone towards over-gesticulation. The fact that he got first place doesn't mean that it's a perfect speech--none are--or that he's immune to constructive criticism. Only 3 out of the 15 judges in the national final round gave him a first rank. Sarah's opinion matters. When it comes to a subjective activity like this, everyone's opinion matters.

It's honestly up to the judge if they factor your time into their rank at all, at any level; people put more merit into it the lower the competition is, at the national stage it's more about the performance then how you follow the limitations.

This guy has obviously been studying a lot of Barack Obama's speeches. Too many similarities to just be a coincident, in my opinion. He's good, but make your own unique style, buddy!
@aldemchips56510 жыл бұрын
I disagree completely. I think his style is unique. Typically, you don't see Obama beginning his speeches in such a silly way, as well as how he uses a lot more humor.
@zachwong732410 жыл бұрын
Tania Kelley Aldem Chips Watch this and then go watch Obama's 2004 Speech to the DNC. The hand motions are exactly the same. Also, he worked on the 2008 Obama Campaign and has since interned at the White House and 2012 Obama Campaign.
