I need some advice. I've always enjoyed dancing but never actually done any classes. Because I just can't get of my shyness and honestly I'm scared that people will judge me. I'm still in school, 7th grade actually and I'm afraid I might get made fun of. And I've never told my family either, I watch and try to learn from your vids when I'm home alone. Never in front of people.
@AsiaDanceScene9 жыл бұрын
sin city I had the same problem when I started, but you want to dance in front of people as soon as possible, because otherwise it will take you a long time to get confidence in the circle which is very important for bboys
@angeljimenez-hc4eu9 жыл бұрын
It's either now or never. If it's something you really love, then go for it! 👍🏽
@drifterz91869 жыл бұрын
Im in 7th too and when i get bored, i dance sometimes in the classroom when it's breaktime. And some of my friends told me that i'm pretty good. But i'm a beginner now. I only do casual moves (im a bit chubby so i gotta lose some weight to be prepared for power moves). This summer i will train as hard as i can and i will be ready. And at the end of the 8th grade, when the prom comes. Maybe i will do a little dance show. Dancing is much more than a hobby for me and i and also you gotta work hard for this. Right?
@AsiaDanceScene9 жыл бұрын
Use toprock and downrock to lose weight and strengthen up, then learn power. You'll kill them at the prom if you do that!

AsiaDanceScene Thanks. I will.

If you're stuck between converse and vans I recommend janoskies. They are light and have flat soles with zoom air insoles. Now they are not as light as either, but they're light so trust me on this. The only reason i love them is because they have strong grip so when I'm starting up power i won't slip
@VincaniTV9 жыл бұрын
***** Oh cool I have never heard of those. I will check them out.
@tengchen65969 жыл бұрын
I started with some old k-swiss shoes, went to converse Allstars but they hurt my feet, because i was wearing them all day in school and for 3-4 hours practice everyday.. So i got myself puma suede and they helped a lot! But the suede is very sensitive when it comes to rain.. And a lot of sweat.. So now i got myself some cheap 12€ practice shoes from primark (look similar to nike roshe run) and they are awesome until now, i'm practicing with them for 5-6 months now and they are still doing their job, light, comfy, cheap haha
@TheNoirMan949 жыл бұрын
When I look for b-boy shoes, besides flat soles, I like to bend the shoe from the toes to the heels. Reason, obviously, is cause when doing footwork, you're gonna be on your toes a lot so I test whether it's durable and flexible to bend easily without getting torn up. This is where I find adidas gazzelles are best at.
@VincaniTV9 жыл бұрын
The Noir Man Those are really great for dancing. Puma also has a version you might like
@brendato18644 жыл бұрын
I love Adidas Gazelles too! Wear them everywhere I go. For me personally, it's hands-down the best pair for breaking because I find the sole doesn't rip apart like canvas shoes do after a couple months
@covelatedspire424 жыл бұрын
What about shoe sizing? Would you want to purchase a pair where your toes are hugging the front for toe specific moves?
@Rose3ssence5 жыл бұрын
Sprained my ankle dancing and I was wearing converse, it started to heal pretty well until I fell in a hole... now I have a boot on, I had the idea to search a video like this, thank you for making this video, Imma get those air max 90s now to make sure I have enough support 😂😂😂 So thank you, really.
@Mr-Tibbster5 жыл бұрын
What I'm after are shoes that are great for gliding, moonwalking, spinning, etc (Think, Lindyhop dancers, Michael Jackson and James Brown). But the issue is I'm also looking for something that is stylistic, formal in style, as I'm not like a "street" dancer, wearing sports gear, but want something that is comfortable to dance in, allows me to dance smooth, matches the rest of what I'd wear and fits well to my small feet. Struggling to find such. But I am also looking for something a little more casual too, and I tend to prefer "low supports" in style, and again a trainer (sneaker) that's not really not sporty. I got really quite specific needs I know...
@paulread71132 ай бұрын
Same here, I do Modern Jive. Have you had any luck finding the right sneaker? I have just ordered a pair of puma suede.
@boonswings12759 жыл бұрын
Adidas Gazelle PROS - lighweight, super clean footwork, nice style, and easier to do pwermoves. CONS - it will wear our in a dew months depending how hard u dance, it has a suede texture so the colour will fade much faster if you use it when it is raining.

@VincaniTV9 жыл бұрын
Flashlegz haha yeah there is always that one shoe that is perfect for you. If you like converse I think you should search for Pro-keds. They don't really sell them any more but really great for footwork.

Are high top sneakers good for breaking in general? Like LeBron XI. I have a pair of Nike that are high. The outsole is flexible but at the same time not so flexible. They're suitable for moves like Indian Step but for moonwalk is kinda hard cause the outsole isn't bending. Maybe i gotta work on my feet too and try to bend it more. I got also Adidas and a pair of Lotto (it's an european brand so i'm not surprised if you don't know them) which is the low type of shoes. I need to get another pair this Christmas. And it's gotta be the perfect one.
@drifterz91869 жыл бұрын
***** I know. It's just that i want them to suitable and to look cool in the same time (and i know that's kinda impossible). High tops are good too but they're a little bit harder to move.

EvryDamnDay Trying to at least. xD Another thing, I keep putting my foot down a lot. Any advice?
@EvryDamnDay9 жыл бұрын
I feel like thats one of the biggest issues people have. Try going through the steps slowly to get a feel for it. When you get to your back elevate your hips and create a wide V shape with your legs and hold it as long as you can. This will help you with keeping your hips and legs off the ground when you mill

I don't like those real low profile shoes. Low height to them. Even though they are light weight and have some cushion, the tread burns out real quickly. My Air Max are way too heavy and too high. If they are too heavy, I definitely can't move as fast. They feel like boot sneakers. The tread doesn't even look right because I want a simple flat tread. I don't feel comfortable with them compared to Adidas Superstar which is my favorite. Flat, nice footwork and can glide on them. They last pretty long too. Try Reebok Classic Nylon too. Cheap, lighter and more compact, got some cushion but wears out little quicker than Adidas Superstar.
@presliehouser80116 жыл бұрын
I know this was written 3 years ago lol but i just wear converse hightops. I like the height, the tread doesnt burn out too quickly, and they arent to heavy. idk if this will help now but worth a try i guess?

Converse destroyed my feet. I have 1 flat foot (2 now thanks to the lack of arch support). My feet are also wide, so they aren't the most comfortable in converse. I found them to be kind of heavy too. Puma Suedes have been my best friend, but there are some pretty dope Adidas models (e.g. Gazelle) out there too. I've also tried Nike Flex 3, which I liked a lot, but at $99+ a pair... it was a penny too shiny to spend. Also, to the dude above, it's "you're"
