What drop-off? 1. I’d argue that this NBA is more fun due to the fact that there’s more competition and almost 1/3rd of the league’s teams are title contenders, 2. To me personally, this is where the Dunk Contest peaked. Still remember watching this at 17 and about to graduate High School. Was like a littke kid. Had Sunny D and Flipz Chocolate covered pretzels ready because I knew VC wasgonna put on a show. 1st Dunk............. contest was over. But you didn't care because you wanted to see more. Wasnt the biggest VC fan as a overall player but the thing he was most famous for, he delivered in spades. And especially that night. Afterwards it was a steep decline. Griffin jumping over a Kia was the Valley. 2016 breathed life into the event then it declined again, but to me this was the contest at its highest peak

I've seen other athletes do that first dunk but nobody has been able to execute it as perfectly as Vince. This contest and the Zach Lavine/Aaron Gordon contest are the best I've ever seen.

Up until today no one can do the 360 windmill as nice as Vince Carter did it, and I don't think any dunk can look as gorgeous as that single dunk.
