Omg there’s no doubt Vince is an absolute genius behind DM, Yazoo and my all time fav Erasure 😍😍😍 Alison Moyet has an incredible voice even to this day with Yazoo. What a duo but of course his coupling with Andy Bell in Erasure. One of the most famous bands he’s been involved in. Andy was a fantastic find, with his freddie Mercury kind of front man unique flair. Not the same as Freddie but on similar lines. And Vince being the serious background guy. Could go on forever about Vince. An amazing guy indeed

I remember listening to Dreaming of me.It sounded very clunky and not in sync but i loved it......And Ice Machine was the b side AWESOME

Chorus is such an underrated album. Beautiful songs with masterful production; anyone who hasn’t listened to Chorus, there’s your homework! That era had some real genius albums; Loveless by MBV came out a month later or something. End of 1991. Of course Nirvana was also happening in the States and would make synthesizers uncool for a decade. But there were still people running with the ball through the 90s. Particularly folks like Seefeel who were mixing electronics with guitars. Electronic music kind of went underground again, jungle and drum n bass. And of course, then Warp Records and Rephlex and everything. It was an interesting time.

Vince seems so honest and dare i say, grounded. Very inspiring stories from someone who seems quite normal considering his actual stature. We sat in the intro adverts at a cinema a few years ago, the pre advertising music included Yazoo and a teenager behind us said to his lady friend "this music is shit". Needless to say, I really wanted to turn and say to him, do you know who this is? I didn't though and he will learn in time if he's smart enough.
