Pure ear candy. My brothers tearing it flat up. You don't compare greats. Danny is an alien and Albert makes you smile with every note and ole Vince is better than he ever gave himself credit to be. Now let's continue this listening pleasure! One Love

Vince’s guitar tone is somehow as clear and distinctive as his voice.

I met Danny the day before he performed on the American Music Shop '91. The gig was cancelled bc of a tornado. He was very gracious, he signed my copy of Guitar Player magazine. ( the one where he has a half face black and white make on the cover). Very cool Memory.

There goes Danny Gatton playing Les Paul licks again with no overdubs.

Check out Jeff Beck’s rock and roll party video. It’s on KZbin. He plays some top class Les Paul stuff, equally, with no overdubs. To be honest,if Les had had the use of all his left hand fingers,he probably wouldn’t have needed the overdubs.

Excellent! Vince's tone was by far the best of the three guitarists. Albert's EB always sounds totally anemic, and Danny just gets lost in the mix.

@@takk7861 I had one back in the early 80's ' was a 2/12 combo ' I think it was 120 watts ' louder than a twin and didn't weigh about half the weight as the twin , I ended up tradeing it for a 68 vibrorlux reverb. The music man was a good sounding amp With I hadn't traded it off.

I love Danny Gatton as much as anyone but he always seemed off on this performance to me. Soooooo many videos of him playing better than this.

I think Danny liked to breath on stage . I know the feeling when i play i dont like to be back and forth on lead breaks . He was a playet on his own . He could have exploded over the other guitarist easily and they knew that . He looks bored on here and is probably thinking i need to do this myself .

@@DAFFYDOO Yup... I'm from Arlington and saw him around the DC area numerous times in fact he actually reworked a mustang bass for me. Cannot remember a single time I've ever left any event he played at which I did not walk out of there being totally blown away by the man's incredible talent. His technical and guitar skills were just as amazing as his playing. DC really did have an assortment of excellent guitarists.
