Vince Russo highlights the issue with The Rock vs. Roman Reigns in WWE | The Wrestling Outlaws

Vince Russo and Dr. Chris Featherstone are joined by EC3 for yet another edition of 'The Wrestling Outlaws'. The three men address rumors of The Rock returning to WWE and facing Roman Reigns. Russo does not think Roman Reigns will benefit in any which way whatsoever with The Rock putting him over at WrestleMania.

Chris Featherstone thank you for highlighting how Dave Meltzer speaks out of both sides of his mouth and in generalities. I don't know why a lot of wrestling fans run with his reports and don't see in his articles that he really doesn't know, is covering all his basis, and speaks out of both sides of his mouth so that if it happens, he was right and if it doesn't happen, he was right.

Who goes over? If Rock beats Reigns you blow an opportunity to catapult someone to the top like a Cody Rhodes or a Kevin Owens who deserve that win more than Dwayne does. If Reigns wins, how the fuck do you continue on? He beat Lesnar, he beat The Rock, are we then supposed to believe that Sami Zayn is going to do what Lesnar and Dwayne couldn't? They're booking themselves into a lose lose situation with this match. It's a dream match but it doesn't need to be for the title. Let the full timers that deserve it beat Reigns THEN have Rock vs. Reigns without the title in the picture.

That's like saying The Rock beating Hogan at Mania booked them into a lose lose situation. The just need to get their heads out of their asses and book another talent properly to go head to head with Reigns like Lesnar when he took The Rock down. The problem isn't that it wouldnt work. It's that we all know the booking from this company is trash and they can't seem to figure out how to build up multiple stars at the same time like they used to.

Rock coming back I believe is more of a matter of finding someone who can defeat Roman, not put him over. With the Bloodline and the family involved, an eventual betrayal from Sami all leads to the downfall of Reigns. Literally no one can defeat him except the Rock. Some think Solo Sikoa is actually spying for the Elders and that Roman will become out of control to where the Elders feel he needs to be brought down and enter Dwayne

I agree with this. The only way it would work Is if the rock came back for at least a couple of months. A one and done wouldn't make much sense. But at the same token Roman reigns has pretty much faced everyone.🤷‍♂️

To be perfectly honest. The Rock vs Roman is a match that should have happened years ago. When RR first started getting a push. Reigns is already champion. He does not necessarily need a win over The Rock at this point!

Actually, in the back of everyone's mind we all subconsciously know The Rock is the "true head of the table" of the Samoan dynasty. With Reigns taking on this latest moniker as the Tribal Chief, it would only make sense for his story to end with a final battle with the biggest and most successful member of his family to truly prove he is the head of the table.

Orton, Big E, or Rhodes will win the Rumble. As far as beating Roman at mania, it'll probably only be Orton because he's HHH's friend. Or Big E for merch. I don't wanna rule out Cena. If Rhodes or Cena wins the rumble, they'll aim to go for a 5 star match with Roman winning. The Rock vs Roman doesn't make sense for the company elevating. It looks good on paper. But why?

Cody will return and win the rumble and go off and face Roman wrestlemania night 1. He will fight his heart out but will lose after the bloodline interferes and actually causes cody to win by count out. Very heartbreaking ending. Night 2 Roman will be Roman celebrating his victory from yesterday. He will brag about how he’s the tribal chief and untouchable. IF YAA SMELLLL 🎶 WHAT THE ROCK 🎶 IS COOKIN. Rock will come out and cut a promo and challenge Roman. Feuded by ego but physically only 50%, but mentally over confident and backed by the bloodline, reigns accepts the impromptu no disqualification match. Of course towards the end the match the bloodline interferes. But wrestlers (ghosts) of Roman’s (Christmas) past Owens, McIntyre, Riddle, Edge and Cody level the playing field. Rock hits the people’s elbow to pin Roman 123 and become the new wwe champion. Rock vacates the belt the next night and awards it to Cody. Cody however would fight for the belt. so Cody vs Roman at Backlash for the vacant WWE Championship. Cody wins and gets his wrestlemania moment
