@rianbarker69628 жыл бұрын
domo hodgy earl and vince are hands down the best from the odd future camp, well vince aint part of OFWGKTA technically. Vince spits real-for real life experiences as far as bein active wit the gang bang shit and his view of the world and just everything we as Americans (not just niggas) should be socially, economically,etc...etc.. aware of during these times and the future...Vince is just an amazing artist and my dream collab album would be Vince Staples and Andre 3000!!!! That album would be SOOOO LEGENDARY!!!!!!

One of my favorite lines by him was "you get what you live for, and I live for money. Other word I'm getting money" so it was weird to hear him say "money comes and goes, so money not my motive no more".

yeah, my bad I couldn't remember off the top of my head.

I feel like his motive is just his mom and other family now and probably helping out his community is another reason he's still alive if anything
@usedtobias8 жыл бұрын
damn, i'm late to the party, but... idk, i think staples' music is all about tension -- there are those points of seeming contradiction across his entire body of work, and sometimes in the same song. also, understand that this album was explicitly written from the perspective of a persona, and so while i think it generally speaks to his views on things, imo it's not a 1-for-1 comparison. even if it was, though, that's an older song, and not only does this represent staples at a more mature point in his career, but chronologically, it represents the protagonist of prima donna at a later point in *his* career. a more direct comparison would be vince's verse on hive vs. big time. i agree it's a little weird to hear, but i think that speaks to the disillusionment with wealth and celebrity. a nigga can live for money right up until he dies for it.

I wish Vince brought more energy to this Don't get me wrong-i fucking love "Smile", it's my favourite song off the album before "War Ready" and "Pimp Hand" and this performance was overall amazing-the visuals, camera work and lighting was incredible. However I kinda hoped to see Vince move around a bit more-80% of it his eyes were closed.
@PushYourEdge8 жыл бұрын
i agree I think this is easily THE MOST boring performance Ive ever seen him do. compared to other videos Ive seen of him
@ChaoticChicken28 жыл бұрын
I mean he doesn't have to backflip across stage, but just something a bit more active than standing still with his eyes closed would have been cool

The EP was eeeh, but this song is defs one of the best he's ever recorded. It's just amazing how chill he was like "hey thanks :shakes hands, leaves:," Vince is true to his word lol
@tankbusta53358 жыл бұрын
Well the point of EP is how boring and overrated fame is, but it's almost as if he has no choice. That's why songs like Primma Donna and Big Time were boring songs
@vukaleksic35508 жыл бұрын
