I love vincent pictures and I cry about what the world is doing with them, always especulating about prices, this is the worst anybody can do for the memory of this outstanding human being and painter. Vincent was worry about people destiny, humanity, and world in the deepest sense of the word. Marvelous painting...

Very sad that nobody wanted to buy one of his paintings in his time, even his own doctor, his brother and wife saved all his paintings and we must be gratefull for their involvement.

Once it was considered a forgery. Now it’s a real one. Not clear who owns the painting and if the Van Gogh Museum was authenticating for the Norwegian owner.
@ericswain41772 жыл бұрын
Not too dissimilar to Leonardo da Vinci's painting Salvator Mundi, selling for $450 million. after it was authenticated finally after years of disregard and now no one knows who bought it or where it is. Many scholars still think is not authentic.

I would say it's a fake ,Van Gogh paintings are all about drawing ,form ,colour and simple compositions this is clumsy badly drawn and terrible composition ,the horrible tree sticking up and the Sky more like a bad Monet ,this is a confused mess ,no way is this a Van Gogh ,what an insult somebody has wasted their money

It is by Van gogh. Van gogh Considered it a failure thats why he did not sign it.

John Castle I thought the same thing. Not his style we're used to seeing. Its said Vincent experimented alot on different techniques, maybe this is one of the experiments and not something he cared to do again.

The work painted in July 1888 was much brighter.. This is muddy by comparison. The order of strokes and pictorial structure is off.. The sky and clouds looks laboured.. Those two green/blue blobs in the foreground look like they've been stuck on. A good forgery a rich guy fell for, enough money to buy a few expert opinions. And of course if your going to forge a Van Gogh you include a letter, but there's no mention of it in his archived letters... 100% fake !!!
@sumaiyakhan56242 жыл бұрын
Its literally not fake. And there are still letters that havent been released to the public. He used to experiment a lot even when working with colors at the time. in fact he would try to rid the ones he didnt like or think were successful. most of his art was burned.
@vatchesolakian63612 жыл бұрын
@@sumaiyakhan5624 I think many fall for the myth and are prepared to believe anything they are told .. without ever looking deeper into the man . The "new"letters are probably forgeries as well . You have to understand .. 99% of collectors gallerist and curators don't care about art ..they care about business and prestige . Look closer at his work of the same period they claim this is from .. look and think and look more and you'll see what a fake it it

Doesn't look quite right, does it? The brushwork is too crude in places and lacking in spontaneity and vitality which it endeavors to approximate. Moreover, if it is claimed it was painted during the sunflower period the palette is too drab and the composition without merit. Vincent was a genius at turning landscape into miracles of graphic delight which this most certainly is not. And if corroborating evidence is extant - why has it taken so long to discover it? Or was the letter found with the painting... hmm? Of course it could be a genuine Van Gogh - something he knocked out on one of his bad days. It is the worst painting by him I have ever seen. And while we're on the subject of VVG - have you ever wondered - if he really wanted to commit suicide - why he did not shoot himself in the head? The absence of powder burns (which should have been obvious from a self inflicted wound at that short distance - get a toy gun and try to replicate the shot and you'll see what I mean) rules out suicide. As does the acquisition of a revolver: Vincent was known to be more than a little crazy so no one would give him a revolver - a rare item in that time and place. Irrefutable evidence has come to light that he was shot - probably accidentally - by a gun toting teenager from Paris and quite near to home. He could not have walked any great distance with such a loss of blood.
