I'm so grateful for TWIV and will send in my support contribution. I realized I found TWIV after hearing Dr Racaniello interviewed on Lex Fridman's podcast-perhaps you are still doing this maybe doing more interviews-Huberman or Attia or Chris Williams come to mind would bring new listeners. I'm a pediatrician in OC,CA and have been helping with Peds rotations for Nurse Practitioner students and always share TWIV with them. Thank you, Dr Racaniello and Dr Griffin. It's not only the excellent information you provide but the pleasant comraderie that the 2 of you share. I always love when Dr R says "Daniel" and then a probing question is asked or at the end when he always says "thank you, Daniel".

Your video today prompted tears. It was the generosity of your doing these videos which have helped me and so many other people at a time when generosity is sorely needed. I cannot contribute financially but I hope I am contributing by spreading the information I gain by tuning into your videos. Thank you so much.

Oh my God, Dr Daniel Griffin is in Tanzania. Karbu sana. We love you so much and appreciate what you are really doing with Prof. Vincent Racaniello

I appreciated Dr. Griffin speaking about what happened in Tanzania re covid. There's a trope in the west that Africa escaped unscathed, and that is probably due, as he kindly says, to an "information vacuum".

What is Disease X in Dem Republic of Congo?
@markgivens32256 күн бұрын
Rather disappointed that the recent DRC infectious disease does not get a mention here. Tanzania is next to DRC and travelers from DRC have already been isolated (briefly) in the US. Other global countries are also alert to this situation.

I really enjoyed the Letters section this week. First there's a quote from Thich Nhat Hanh, then the great story about the car race physician lobbying for seat belt laws back in the day. It just goes to show that there's always more to Microbe TV than microbes!

I had the Biotech vaccine because the virus was a pain in the neck, and that’s coming from someone who’s had a fair share of picking up blue masks.

Thank you for all your continuing information; voices of informative calm amidst a degree of madness! I would be very interested to know if you’ve come across a link between the covid vaccine (think it was Pfizer) and changes in bowel habits. I had my 5th vaccine in January and early the next morning had (almost explosive) diarrhoea the next day… and ongoing. Not every morning now, but it’s a noticeable change from before, and means an early rising rush to the toilet too often (between 4-6am, mostly). Been checked (had colonoscopy) and am all clear for IBD and cancer. I have long had a degree of IBS, and wondered if anyone else has experienced this. Might be correlation rather than causation, but the timing was very specific. Makes me reluctant to get a 6th vaccine and would appreciate informed input on this (also had covid in July). Thank you.

Interesting. I had a frustrating struggle with that a couple of years ago, with the onset nearly always when furthest from home on long walks. No other symptoms. Finally tried yogurt to modify the gut microbiome and a day later returned to normal function. Same caveat: correlation/causation, sample size of one... but what a relief!

Send it into v-safe! The CDC (and the biotech companies) want to know this information. They'll follow you along and give you a call, if they need further details. May be entered in VAERS if enough people experience it. Might want to try Novavax next time..

There seems to be good results using Ai to analyse large bodies of material to predict potentially useful connections to guide research. I wonder if anyone has done this for long covid yet?

Why would Dr. Griffin also not advise pregnant women to take extra precautions like wearing N95 or better masks, generally avoiding anyone who might be infected, (& etc.) instead of only mentioning the v-word? I found the telomeres paper. Vaccine statuses of the study participants do not appear to have been considered/mentioned.
