In Hungary, along the river Danube, we make the exact pasta in our fish soup. It is called match stick pasta (gyufatészta). My 89 year old grandpa still makes it with his bare hands.

@@vincenzosplate Ciao and grazie! My husband loves Italian food (literally he is a tomato HAHA) There is a dish called (forgive my spelling) "penzza". I think it's a rose sauce with ham...he made it for me one time and it was wonderful! It would be nice to see a traditional version. My favourite pasta is anything noodle (homemade pappardelle, linguine, angel hair spagettini) 🤣 Here in Canada there is a restaurant named "Napoli", in Niagara Falls. It's his favourite place, hopefully one day I will try it too!

Hey Vincenzo I love your content keep up the good work! I have to say Nonnas make the best food even compared to Michelin chefs because the chefs always do something “different” or “creative “ which usually changes or ruins the dish but Nonnas always stay traditional and authentic and make everything by hand. Sup Vince, your nonna makes just like my nonna did 40 years ago 🥹, in the end she did buy pasta for pasta e fagioli with ditalini shape but it's ok, this was made everytime it snowed, brings back memories, my youngest daughter makes now everytime snows, it's so comforting coming in from the cold, my nonna was stepfathers mother but since I was 6 years old was nonna, remember first time I swore around her was 8yrs old and hit with wooden spoon 😂🤣, sry I go on and on a lot, it's love tho, tyvm tc 🍝

They look like borlotti. I'm not sure if it's the italian name for a type of bean that exists everywhere or if it's a variety only we have though, so if you find them good but if not then use whatever bean you have (though if a bean would be better for a chili than another it will probably also be better for the pasta e fagioli).
