hey I'm trying to do this chipping effect with metallic Vallejo gun metal grey but its pulling the priming layer off as well and I'm barely touching it i just wounding if I'm doing anything wrong? is there some weird interaction between the chipping fluid and the gun metal grey? any ideas

Mmmmmmm not sure. Ive never had an issue. However it could be the primer under. Possibly try priming with rattle can or adding a couple of coats of primer and leaving over night before the next stages. Reach out on instagram if the issue continues

What might be fun (and directly useful to me, not biased at all) is how you would do chipping on very dark base tones. My deathguard are dark violet and I can never get the chips to look right.

Yea it’s hard with darker coulors. I tend to just do black chips and put a little metallic inside them.

Awesome work, as ever. I love those pigment powders. As far as fixing goes, I don't think you need to, even with a miniature you handle. I put them on the bases of mine, and it just seems to stay. Plus if it does come off, it's no problem at all to re-do.

So is that AK true metallic wax-based paint the way these guys get that flawless reflective armour look for like their Stormcasts and knight characters? I’ve never been able to figure out how smooth and consistent some get it, but a wax-based product would make sense there. Great video man. Keep them coming.
