@@AlphaMelGibson DaD had it's time to shine and tbh they threw it away making poor choices and only catering to hardcore pve boss farmers and cheaters instead of the massive player base it had in early playtests that loved it for how fun it was even playing with nothing. Current game is just not fun without gear and you aren't gonna get gear without doing something boring like farming troll and wasting 20 min building a kit for 5k minimum. Loved dark and darker but the balancing has just been a mess and the cheaters ruin it for me but what REALLY killed it was ironmace unbanning them over and over for a "second chance" like whateverr.. I'll just play a game where they actually punish cheaters.

Tesla Bullets aren't just good for farming, but they allow you to easily proc any spirit damage effects from items like bullet shredder.

Also Ethereal Shift will allow you to dodge things that can affect you even when you're in a good position. You can use it when Lash ults, for example, to prevent him throwing you into the enemy team. Other good examples would be like Wraith ult, or Grey Talon's owl if he is a good player and manages to catch you off guard. It also takes up a spirit slot, so it's a great defensive item when you want to save your flex slots for more weapon or vitality items. There's often better items depending on the situation, but it's not just relevant when you're caught alone with the enemy team.

Do you think you could fit pristine emblem into your build for more gun damage? It gives you extra gun damage on targets above 50% HP. And your sniper does bonus damage on targets below 50% so I feel like it could work pretty well. But I don't really play Vindicta, so you would have a better feel of what works better on her.

4:15 SPILL THE BEANS WHOOOOOOO!?!?!?!? My first was Haze, grakata lyfe, quicksilver bullets on the dagger is free damage on the bonkspots if firerate=grakatatatatatata I also played 1 game with crispy man bartended, didn't return until I got good with Haze and now I own with him. Vindicta ofc just rolls people by default if you can play situationally aware like a counter strike player, ime. Slowly growing out my roster of approachable characters, mostly sticking to like doods. Teleport gank lady is pretty easy to play, and electro robot guy is super good if you ignore the default build and build tank-dps and just use walljumps for the height.

i rage quit like 4 out of my first 10 games. Would play maybe 2 a day, get stomped, play poorly. Try again the next day. now with 21 hours im usually top of kills in my game. Still learning but using the top build for every character makes the buying process a lot easier. you can search for builds in the buy menu, top right corner

Focus on farming the PvE if you notice you're losing a lane, go for a rotate into a lane with 2 allies and gank a deeps or support then get some of the in level buffs from jars and crates while you go back to farm some more items and then try to hop back into the fray, but definitely focus more on PvE at the start. I highly recommend monster rounds in weapon to get your initial econ going. Good luck and keep at it!

You're actually not wrong about leech being good and vampiric burst doubling on it. Not a lot of people fit in anti heal and them both together let's you clap people. Bullet focused builds rush leech as soon as possible coming into mid game. Also why I've been running heal bane. The heal reduction alongside healing when you kill (which stacks with heal booster but i don't usually get both)

And as a long time TF2 player, I see this and am disappointed Valve can make ANOTHER hero based shooter but they can't even develop an effective anti-cheat to stop a cheater epidemic across Team Fortress and Counter Strike. You can like the game all you want, but the company making it shows again and again that they don't really give a singular fuck about long-term user enjoyment. So yeah, I'm not interested in sinking hundreds of hours of time into yet ANOTHER hero based shooter that will just be forgotten, I'll stick with the one that's shitty in the way I know.

The idea of a live service game is that you don't own it, and therefore as a service, it is something to be maintained by the developer with updates and server upkeep. There's only 2 questions that are relevant: does Valve still make money off of TF2, and do they do a proportional amount of work for how much support the community gives them? The answers are yes, they make 10's of millions a year off of TF2, and no, they don't upkeep the game in a way that reflects that. So go ahead, keep playing Deadlock. But pay attention to the history of TF2, and what is currently happening to CS2. I have 6000 hours in TF2, I have accepted the game is going to stay the way it is until the last server shuts down. But I'll never forget the way Valve lied about updates, let the bot crisis go on without any intervention for too long, and still has massive cheating problems across every game it runs. Unless you are what I call a "gaming tourist" who never actually plays a game for more than a couple hundred hours at most, this will eventually have an effect on Deadlock. Goodluck
