They... Never said it wasn't? "headhunting" didn't mean then what it does today, it just meant Pitlick was going to go after Peca, not that he tried to hit him in the head. Jeanneret and Lorenz were pretty even handed compared to a lot of their contemporaries.

Can someone PLEASE send this to Mr.Pegula!? Make Botterill and Krueger watch it multiple times!! I know this team didn’t win it all. But, wow they played with intensity and it was awesome. Such a great era of hockey. My hatred of the media started in middle school when I would hear announcers talking about how horrible fighting was for the league while 18K people stood on their feet cheering. Despite everyone loving the fights the media eventually got their way and ruined it by filling everyone's head with chatter about how no one wants to see it.
