Context if you want it: Simple series was a series of game published by D3, mostyl in japan (but some came out in the west), that helped small 1 to 10 people team publish games that otherwise wouldn't be picked up. The series run from the PS1 days to the 3DS. Then it was dropped thanks to Steam and Itch gaining traction even in Japan circa 2015. Hey, i have to be true to my name. Also i can't wait for Vinny to play FFVII, i've been saying it already, but prepare for elongated cutscenes Vinny. Prepare. Mentally.

I’m actually pretty happy to see Vinny play Metropolismania. The sequel is actually one of my favorite games for the PS2. It’s definitely rough at the start I won’t deny that but, when you figure out how to play and have a good strategy it’s quite fun. I would be totally down for a remake or reimagining of the series if that ever comes... But, probably not.

nabeel box I’d imagine that was from the IGN review. They gave the game a terrible review of a 2.1/10. Just looking at the review I can definitely understand why some would assume the game is crap. Trust me though, that review was simply not well made, the person that reviewed it made a bunch of jokes and didn’t play much of the game at all. In my personal opinion it is a nice improvement over the first game adding better graphics, additional customization including your character and house, new industries including fishing and farming along with many new buildings. Probably the biggest piece of evidence I have that discredits IGN’s review is that they gave the first game a 6.5/10 and many of their complaints were fixed in the sequel so, by all means it should of had a higher score.

nabeel box Absolutely! If you like what you saw with what Vinny played during his short time with the first game then you should definitely consider giving Metropolismania 2 a try. I even have a few tips if you’re interested as I will admit I did get a bit stuck on the 5th stage due to not preparing properly.

If I'm not mistaken, the Metropolismania game is a series of Japanese Sim City like game. I have one on the ps3 called Machi-ing Maker 4. Really fun game.

The black character in The Sniper 2 literally looks like someone blacking up. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that in video game form. Although I have to say, there's something cool about the jazz-based soundtrack

I feel like even if so many of these games were trash, they were probably *really* good for gathering info on what people want...? Like, "Yakuza fury", Earth Defense Force, Shogun's Blade, amongst others, aren't terrible ideas in different departments: EDF being a fairly original game, Yakuza Fury having an interesting setting and Shogun's Blade really is just absolute budget musou Say what you will about these absolute trash games but it's really interesting how the simple series almost seemed like a relatively safe and cheap way for devs to pitch certain game concepts and genres to the public for the sake of gauging public reception

the first time i saw the sniper 2 i wanna say it was brutalmoose that did a let's play of it. lol at vinny checking the interlace settings. fool, nothing will help the sniper 2 look even a smidge less like ass.
