Fuck, imagine if Radiohead dropped their next album as one of these. Experiencing the music for the first time with these kinds of visuals and then getting to download the flac/mp3 files when you finish it. I know Thom, Jonny, and Ed are doing solo stuff right now, but as far as I can tell the band is as alive as ever if it's putting out cool stuff like this still.

Anamanaguchi did this with their B-sides album "Capsule Silence XXIV"; albeit they teased the game as an action-adventure game and not a walking sim, then faked an argument between themselves and the gamedev, so people got angry. Capsule Silence is a fucking bop though

@@viktorthevictor6240 A confusing crypto thing that I'm not entirely equipped to explain. They're steeped in bullshit tho. One early complaint is the carbon footprint they leave behind, spending way too much energy for the little value they actually hold. But recently people have been pushing more "eco-friendly" NFTs which even if true does not matter, because NFTs are very often involved in scams, artwork theft, and even entire account takeovers of other people's art accounts. They'll even use dead people to promote this stuff (check Stan Lee's twitter account). Overall it's just a big massive waste of energy and people's work that's only peddled by the filthy stinking rich, corporations, and those who are so deep in the crypto grift they cant see anything else.

The journey that is this game genuinely made me cry. Kid A is such an emotionally-charged album for me, every step of the way. And the best part of this being a youtube-specific prerecord is that I'm able to pause each section, replay the most significant version of each song, to me, after Vinny's entered its section of the game, and revisit everything in my own time with the playthrough. A beautiful experience, the team that made this deserves so many accolades.

This can easily be a VR experience at museums, there's so many benefits. A broader audience, cheap to setup, more availability. In Stuttgart they had a VR exebition where you stood in a circle lined with a curtain. You could walk around and you'd just feel the curtain if you reached the edge, better than hitting a wall.

hearing vinny talk about wanting to do a red vox type game for his album is commendable and interesting, imean we always make the jokes about how vinyort is the funny pizza pasta man, but when he creates something its fricken magical, and i would totally pay upwards of like, a full price of modern game + whatever the album costs to see what kinda interesting visuals would befit such.

I only knew Radiohead from a few songs before this, but now I'm intrigued to give their whole discography a try. I like watching you play all the funny stuff, Vinny, but watching this with all your input was certainly one of the most enjoyable experiences for me. Thank you

Man going in I didn't know I'd get emotional at points! But I sure did. I think it was the visuals in those moments that really got me, it helped the vibe even more. Sometimes it's good to just experience those moments and just feel, that's the power music can have on you. Thanks so much for sharing this Vin, this was amazing.

when I got to how to disappear completely in the museum, I was already a big fan of the song, but when it was paired with those visuals, I felt a sadness like I was watching my own memories being wiped away. I should be thankful my memories are intact but now I have to remember live action cowboy bebop

i was broken up with in september, radio head quite literally prevented me from doing something crazy a few months ago. it's 3 in the morning, im bawling. this is beautiful, and i will never amount to anything remotely as beautiful as this art. i wish i could say goodbye, but i am weak. so i guess i'll stay.

I just love this so, so much. Radiohead are the only ones who could pull something like this off, leave so much room for experimentation and yet so munch freedom for the spectator to experience it by one selves. And taking albums that are already a 20 years old and making something completely new and unique out of them. A entirely new, yet familiar experience. The artwork and hand-made drawings are so beautifully crafted and the combination with the digital immersive experience is just perfect. All is in complete harmony.

Being a small radiohead fan, and only really getting into OK Computer, I had never heard that much about KID A or Amnesiac. And, believe it or not, I had never heard of How to Disappear Completely, Pyramid Song, nor You and Whose Army? before. And not to be too dramatic, but I'm really happy I experienced those songs blindly within this experience. I sobbed like a huge baby during that part of the exhibit, especially throughout Pyramid Song. If there was any other way I'd want to experience that moment differently, is to actually be there floating with the particles. Or VR at least.

I found this video couple days ago. I didn't know this fine piece of art existed. Kid A & Amnesiac are my Radiohead's fav albums and I'm so joyful to live this amazing journey.
