In the og game there's unused data that suggests a 6th party member was planned. How awesome would it have been if this added an end or post game quest to get that party member. An obvious candidate is like Luigi (I actually saw a now lost video about that before in like 2009) but a theory I heard before is Jonathan Jones was the cut member. Now that would make me super creamed to have him playable. I know it's not ever happening and is a far flung dream but hey they did keep the Japanese secret menu code in this remake even so.
