You know what would be cool in this game (but probably hard to pull off)? M.A.M.E. integration. For those of you who don't know, M.A.M.E. is an emulator that can run arcade games. I used it to play CarnEvil, and it would be cool to be able to play it through this game.

25:26 I don't know about the Steam Upper Decker, but I know for a fact that in the 8BitDo Pro 2 the left rumble is way, *_WAY_* more powerful than the right. To get them close to the same, I had to use the 8BitDo software to set the left rumble to a 2 out of 5 and keep the right rumble at a full 5.

I've disassembled a few ps4 controllers and if memory serves, they all had more weights on the rumble section on one side than the other, so there may be some reason they do this. Whatever it is I couldn't say.

As the years go on, these games become more shamelessly exploitative. Your credit card is now a fast ticket that allows you to play these games. A quarter drop game now costs one dollar to play. The games are all given custom prices, despite having built-in coin slots, but the prices have been skewed to meticulously align with their ticket payout statistics. The statistical edge is so slight and the older machines are fallible enough that they end up instilling in kids the idea that the sunken cost fallacy is easy to beat with enough persistence. Some of these games are from my childhood, and I remember spending hours at chuck-e-cheese trying to get the jackpot and beat my best friend to it. Everybody knows the machines are rigged, yet they play them anyway for entertainment value alone. I grew up in such a small town that a little arcade space in a neighboring city’s mall was a lost paradise for me. This game is such a mesmerizing depiction of our late nights back from a day-long trip to colorado
