it's hard to overstate how much he tunneled on Fledge. If you watch the vod, he spends a bunch of time during that section where he is completely silent. He is soaking in 100% of the Fledge grunts

The "old one" isn't here to consume/destroy all reality, he just thinks it's really funny when things make silly noises and deform horribly around him, at least until they break and have to be refreshed to mess with again.
